Good for fine, air-dried hair
I'm a new mama and this brush has been perfect. I have blonde highlighted hair that is on the fine side. Because of the coloring and years of heat it is a bit frizzy and damaged... looks pretty messy when I let it air dry. With a baby at home, I feel pretty accomplished when I get a shower in, let alone when I blow dry and style my hair. This is great because I can just let my hair air dry and run the brush through and I look much more polished in just a few minutes and the smooth lasts for a second day. I can see how it would not work well for people with very thick or coarse hair, but for me it is just about perfect. I brush the underside of my hair, found that doing the outside gave it a shape I didn't like.

The return process was painless and they did credit my card back easily. Thank you
I returned the brush although it did remove the friz it did not straighten my hair. I suppose if my hair was longer and did not have any layers it may have worked but it did not work for me. My hair is just below my shoulders. I was not planning on reviewing but I received multiple emails from the company asking me to. The return process was painless and they did credit my card back easily. Thank you.

Straight hair with minimal time needed
I need to start out by saying that I'm waiting on a replacement because one of the nylon bristles was loose in the box. They have tiny little springs at the end with a little loop to secure in place and I could not get it back in. These nylon bristles are what protects your scalp feom direct contact with the heated ceramic. I'll be getting my replacement today and I'm very excited about it!So before I realized that they bristle was not attached, I was able to use the brush. My hair is long, about 3/4 down my back long. It's not really thick but it is frizzy and depending on the day, it can be wavy or have soft natural curls. When I straighten my hair, I use a ghd iron which is my 100% go to for super straight and sleek hair and even though I can usually get away with 1 pass with the ghd, it still takes about 30 min to completely straighten my hair.So onto the performance of this straightening brush...I have seen advertisements of these brushes all over my Facebook feed and infomercials and was intrigued but skeptical as many reviews were and are not so great. I had seen this one advertised in a popular magazine and decided to dig in a little more so I searched the web for reviews, watched YouTube reviews (important for me to actually see the results on camera) and felt that they were positive enough to give it a try.So back to performance. As previously stated I have long, frizzy, wavy hair. I washed and dried my hair and once fully dry, I prepped for the straighteningIt took about 1 min to fully heat. Light starts out red then turns green and beeps when ready. Super easy, all you do is brush through your hair. I did find that in order to get my hair the straightest, I had to do layers and also more than one pass. I started with underneath and brushed both under and over each section. When completely done, I did another quick pass over the top. When finished, my hair wasn't as straight as when I use my ghd and would compare this brush to my chi. Straight but not silky and sleek.I will add that after sleeping on it, I had to pass through again in the morning as I had a little wave in certain sections but no different than when I use my chi.How long did it take to do my hair? I'd say from start to finish, less than 10 minutes. Not as long as my ghd and great for when I'm short on time and want a more polished look.Would I recommend? Yes and I already have to several friends. I cannot vouch for how well this will work with thicker and curlier hair but for light to medium with wavy to light curls, I think it would be just fine.If I feel differently over time, I willl update my rating. I'll also add before and after pics when I get my replacement.

Save your money
I have thick hair with a lot of texture. It's a little past shoulder length and pretty much unmanageable unless I flat iron it. I was excited when I saw these types of brushes start to appear for sale and was psyched by a glowing review of this brand in particular. I'm sorry to say, I think it's just a lot of hype with little to no substance.I had washed my hair the night before the brush arrived and left it in a ponytail to dry. The top part was laying flat while the bottom was wild, wavy and curly. I followed the directions of the manufacturer but the end result was disappointing. First of all, for hair like mine, you have to section your hair into pretty small areas so it doesn't take any less time than flat ironing does. Secondly, it left my hair looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket rather than flat, smooth and silky like a flat iron does. My hair had double the volume than when it is ironed and most of the curly/wavy bits did not get totally straight.Maybe this might be effective on people who have thinner, more naturally straight hair to begin with but for those of us with problematic hair, save your money and just get a good flat iron. The only reason I gave this thing a second star was because it has a built in timer that will shut the device off after being idle for a certain length of time.

Quick, easy, & Lovely results. Great if you get hand pain from traditional heat styling methods.
Works exactly as promised. Due to issues with my hands, I rarely blow dry my hair the traditional way due to pain. But leaving my coarse, wavy-curlyish hair air dried was making me feel sloppy. I used it for the 1st time on hair that had been washed in the morning & dried in a ponytail all day. Less than 10 minutes of brushing and it looks like I flat ironed my hair! The ends look just a bit coarse but with a little hair cream, my hair style is polished with minimal effort. I this to a friend with similar hair who just had twins as it is a huge time saver. Recommending this to a friend with similar hair who just had twins!

Don't buy this brush - it makes your hair look fried.
This brush left my hair frazzled. It did straighten it some but it did not leave it soft and straight like a flat iron. Instead it made it look damaged. It also made pieces of it stick together and made it difficult to brush. I would not recommend this product. Especially for the price. I saw similar brushes for around $30 or $40.

Three Stars
Not exactly what I had in mind. Dries out my hair and gets a little too hot.
