Very surprised with these pencils - soft and vibrant
I was pleasantly surprised with these pencils. They were smooth, not as buttery as Prismacolor colored pencils, but hey there is a reason for the price of those pencils. These I would say are student grade colored pencils, and by student I mean art student, not elementary kid. They are GOOD pencils, they lay color down smoothly and can be blended and they appear vibrant, but look like they lack the pigment that more expensive artist grade colored pencils have. There is a good variety of colors without too much of a similarity between them. My package arrived perfectly without a pencil out of place or even a tip broken. They include a swatch card and you should color that in so you can see what the colors look like on paper because the pencil paint is not going to exactly match. It's great that each pencil is named and has a number so you can look at your swatch card to choose you color and then just grab the matching pencil. I also love the price, an excellent value for what you get!

Soft Core vibrant colors
These colored pencils are at a great price for what you get; 180 pencils for $29! And they are soft core, making it easy to apply the color without putting a dent in your finger! Or a cramp in your hand. The colors are vibrant & smooth & work well together shading & blending.

New favorite colored pencils!
I think I prefer these pencils over Prisma colors! they are way cheaper and honestly I like the quality more. I also really like the packaging, I got a full list of colors on the back and a really well done swatch book (great paper quality lol). I had only 1 pencil that was just slightly broken which made sharpening a little difficult (the smallest pencil in the 3rd pic), but honestly for a pack this big I expect at least some of them to have that issue (could also be a me issue lol). These pencils are very soft so don't go throwing them around and dropping them (will break the lead inside. the same is with pretty much all soft colored pencils). I probably wouldn't give them to young children just because of how soft they are, but I don't think that's the intended audience anyway. All in all 10/10

Beautiful colors, but they break easily
Love the colors, but they break easily. After sharpening them often I end up loosing the pencils way too quickly

nice
durable, strong core. smooth colour payout. very, very fun. these blend pretty well, too. sharpens well - I just use an e.l.f. sharpener. I'm just a beginner, but these work really well for me. I also use the Kalour blender pencils and find them high quality.

Incredible quality
My wife is an artist among her other talents, and has over 30 years of experience creating artwork with various media. I had bought a set of these for my daughter, just for the value, and came back to order one for my wife. She was extremely impressed with the quality, saying they were just as good as her Prismacolors, if not better, but for a substantially better price. She was able to smooth the grain with a blending stump without trouble. Even when she dropped one on our tile floor, the lead didn’t break, so they’re also durable. The packaging was excellent, I myself am also impressed at the array of colors, and in my novice art capability still was surprised at how much better these are than others I have played around with. The size of the set is an incredible value for such a good quality colored pencil.Kalour has really knocked it out of the park with these, and gained loyal customers.

Great set to start your adult coloring journey with!
I'm 100% new to the world of adult coloring and bought these pencils on a whim after wanting a large set without breaking the bank.I've included a picture of the first project I completed using only the pencils from this set. I believe it's possible to render realistic skin tones with the shades included in this set if you have an eye for undertones and midtones of the skin and whatnot.I had this set shipped internationally right at the start of the year. They arrived in perfect condition. The tin is quite sturdy. I accidently stepped on the lid and dented it and still have had no issues with it.So far, I absolutely adore these color pencils. They're quite intuitive and perfect for beginners. With very minimal practice you learn what type of pressure gets you your desired result. These pencils blend beautifully without any solvents or aids. They're placed in the tin in blending order while the swatch card has them in numerical order. I find that if I sharpen them into a fine tip they can still blend over a section with wax bloom without destroying the tooth of the paper while actually showing up. They also leave minimal debris. The cores are actually very break-resistant. I use a T'gaal sharpener on them to reach an extremely fine point and only the very tip snaps off when I don't use a slightly softer hand. When I used a harder pressure for burnishing, I still didn't experience any breakage. This alone has made me reconsider purchasing a colorless blender or burnisher as I don't think I need them with this formula. If you want to blend and practice different techniques you will have to sharpen them a bit which will wear them down a bit quicker, especially for larger spaces (naturally), but I like that aspect. I don't want to hold onto to a set of supplies forever because I like to try new things. And I can always try out a more expensive brand by purchasing each pencil one by one to replace whichever one from this set I've used up first. However, I think it's very likely I might just buy from this brand again as I've thoroughly enjoyed this set compared to other more expensive brands such as the Irojitens. These pencils layer beautifully over alcohol based markers and help enhance the blend. They're also comfortable to grip and hold. I've colored with them for over 4 hours in a single sitting and not once has my hand ever cramped up. (Keep in mind, I don't have any hand related hindrances).I honestly have nothing negative to say about these pencils I'm so happy I found this brand among others. I'm so pleased I'm actually interested in checking out their watercolor and oil based pencils. This set has propelled my confidence in starting a journey to color realism, whimsy, and everything in between.
