Very Healthy 4" Plant Received
I received a very healthy 4" ginger and a very healthy 4" galangal (Kha) plant. Their leaves were nice and green with no signs of stress. The soil in the 1.5" planters was moist but not wet, which is perfect. There was no sign of fungal growth or insect invasion. The tags said, "Water Me Now!" I planted them out in a 10" pot and gave them a drink. Four days later they have shown some signs of growth and no signs of transplant shock or other stress. This is a high quality product and I anticipate no particular problems. Can they still fail? Well...they're plants and I transplanted them, so of course they can still fail. We call that gardening. :-) But they won't fail because they are a poor product. After a few months I'll transplant them to individual larger pots. Ginger and galangal (Kha) are easy to grow and maintain. Keep their soil moist but not wet (they don't like wet feet), a nice rich loam mix and a bit of low nitrogen fertilizer (go easy on the nitrogen) and they will thrive. I'm in Zone 10b and my garden is actually a micro-clime Zone 11. I won't worry about winter. In frostier areas (Zone 8 and lower) you'll need to winter in doors. If I have any particular problems that are associated with the plants I will update.I highly recommend the seller.Update: One month in and the plants are doing fine. Good growth, strong medium green leaves. They are looking quite healthy. (Both the ginger and galangal plants)

Yes, a living plant!?????
My greatest frustration in the last few years receiving living plants, tubers, bulbs, seeds online is that the quality and survivability has decreased DRASTICALLY!!! I received this tiny little plant that seemed healthy at first but soon the leaves are turning yellow and dying back WITHOUT ANY SIGN OF NEW GROWTH!!! Finally I decided to check out "what lay below"... Yes there was a rhizome with what appears to be a viable shoot. So I cleaned all the other crap out and replanted. Only time (many, many months already passed?) will tell. Many months later and this pathetic plant is still alive but in an extreme state of suspension over its predestined grave??? Perhaps it is only my thoughts... willing it to survive that is delaying the inevitable? My frustration is extreme! As I purchased a pound of rhizomes from another site claiming them as useful for growing out as well as eating! I am so very gullible... when I got these rhizomes they appeared to have had all the "eyes" removed... I refused to believe that the seller would do such a thing... yet after several months most have rotted and still NO NEW GROWTH!Now this supposed live/healthy growing plant is still doing almost nothing after several months!Buyer beware!!!! Viable plants/seeds/etc online REALLY SUCK!!!Now three weeks later with all the heat, still protecting this plant from full sun there is still no new growth! Only a part of one leaf of the original three leaves remains!!! I know that it is still alive... however what kind of "plant lover" would inflict such pain upon a "nature lover" such as myself???

We’ll see
I ordered a hot pink ginger and it arrived quicker than the estimated shipping date! It’s the size that’s advertised, the packaging was secure and easy to open, it had instructions for what to do next such as repotting & avoiding sunlight for a few days.My gripe is that the soil was incredibly soaked. It was nearly dripping. I find that too wet to have a plant sitting in a dark shipping box - which we know what happens with water, & cool dark environments that are intermittently heated depending on transportMy plant looked fairly pale green & pale yellow, I figured because of it being as young as it is and having been in dark box.I received it on Saturday and today is Thursday. On day 2 I noticed mold on the roots for the main stock. Unfortunately the main stock of the plant continues to lean to the side as it remains pale and the little stem coming out of its base continues yellowing.I’m still hopeful but I’m not putting all my eggs in this basket. If it pulls through then I will come back and update my review.Today is 10/19/23

One turmeric plant sickly, one healthy
My two turmeric plants arrived in a timely manner but it was in the heat of the summer and one of them was quite pale then and died completely a couple of weeks later. I reached out to the seller not really expecting a refund, and I wasn’t disappointed but I can’t really blame them because I waited too long and didn’t think to take a photo before I disposed of the corpse. So while I gave them only four stars, I will order from them again because the remaining little turmeric is still chugging along. I will be more mindful of the time of year that I order, though.
