Was excited about this purchase protected but I live in a hotel room right now, so come to find out there’s only certain locks he can use it on that’s the only thing that really disappointing me

I purchased this lock for our hotel room we booked in NJ. It was just two of us going to the eras tour, and after I had seen a couple TikTok’s of people experiencing people walking into their hotel rooms announced (hotel employees) I decided it was a must. Plan to use it on every trip I go on!

Product does work as intended. Depending on the strength of the door you use it on. It could be a warning that someone is trying to get in. Or may prevent entry.

1. I appreciate the different sizes on each end of this lock to accommodate different doors. The first version of this lock only fit standard doors! However, it still doesn't fit EVERY door you'll come across so it's not the perfect solution.2. The instructions for using the lock were lacking. I had to watch YouTube videos to figure it out! This isn't a huge problem, but you may need to practice hooking it onto doors at home before going into public with it!3. This lock is very sturdy! Once it's secured onto the correctly-sized door, it provides lots of comfort and safety in public restrooms (where I use it the most). Other portable locks that are purely metal bend, but this lock maintains its shape.

After the horror stories, I decided to get this for the safety of myself and my family. I used it this past weekend, and it is legit! I felt so safe. My husband tried opening the door and it prevented it from opening. It was a bit tricky to put on the door. But once I got it. It was good. Instructions were in the pink bag. Will continue to use!

I brought this thing on 2 trips and have yet to use it. That’s because if the door has a lip between the door and wall the metal plate won’t be able to fit. It works on a lot of doors that are flush, but sadly I haven’t run into those when I want to use this productAlso it’s not super intuitive on how to use so if you lose the instructions it might be confusing

So this product definitely does its job but be careful and make sure you have enough room for the tool to come out. I had tested this twice before actually leaving it in my door overnight and everything worked fine…. Until I went to go open my door in the morning and I couldn’t get out for about 3 hours 😂💀 this tool had gotten stuck and the latch for the doorknob couldn’t pull back far enough to get it out and I ended up having to pop the lock 💀💀💀

I bought these as a gift for my sister when she had to stay in New Orleans for a conference. They brought her peace of mind and an added sense of security. I'd definitely recommend!
