Solar Charge Controller Works Great
This 100a version works great and you must do your research before buying any of these items to prevent premature failure and possible fires. I consult for remote solar powered systems on a budget. One thing to note is writing down how many amps you need from this controller as it will output 12V or 24V depending on your setup. I recommend 24VDC battery setups on this, 24VDC inverters, and it will then need solar panels that supply 24V+ to this controller. Its good to read all the instruction booklets for parts to see what its hookup requirements are and its min/max settings needed.

Menu won't open, No Voltage regulation during charging. Voltage too high.
I set it up exactly as instructions directed. There was no control of the charging Voltage with the 60A charge controller. It appeared to "pass through" Solar Panel Voltage directly to the battery. Holding down the Menu button 3S did not open manual settings. There was no way to select the battery type. There were 15V being applied to the AGM battery. The unit emitted a smell of hot electronics. This could have killed my battery and or caused a fire.

Good, but….
Just a caution - check the manufacturer's fuse and other safety equipment requirements before ordering. There could be additional purchases that need to be made to protect the charge controller and let it do its job safely. I was surprised at the long list of other items needed to make this work. Otherwise it is great and doing its job.

Great Affordable Controller that protects the system.
Bought this over a month ago and has been working great ever since. I use it so far with one 250w solar panel charging 10 lithium 12v 40ah batteries at 24v. I ran the batteries in pairs of two in series/parallel. I use the off grid system to charge my electric motorcycle. So far I have not been plugged into my home ac power for a whole month. This controller is holding up just fine.

Works fine especially for the price.
I have a 30amp that is working fine. I bought this 50 as a spare. Easy to connect and mount.

Not mppt
Works ok on lower voltage panel, but not true mppt controller.

USB ports are super helpful off-grid in a small system
I like this little charger controller because of the USB ports. Make sure to install it out of the weather.

fire hazard
I got the 40amp controller for my lifepo4 24v battery bank. I have 40 amp input at 28V going to this mppt. For the first few minutes it was indeed outputting 40 amps, but as it heated up it settled around 30 amps or 800 watts output. This thing heats up insanely hot. I can not pick it up, it is a fire hazard. Also the display of amps being output is a lie, it says 40 amps even though my victron shunt is clearly showing only 30 amps! Right now after about 20 minutes of use it has risen to 70 celcius, that is according to its own internal temperature sensor display. definitely will start to melt and start a fire. Maybe if they built in a fan inside it would help.
