GHP Group Dyna-Glo Universal Deluxe Rotisserie Kit for Grills

After returning other Rostisserie Kit that felt cheap and it was one or two inches shorter then my Dyna-Glo Grill, I got this one and I am very happy with it. It looks better, feels sturdier and has more parts. I have used it three times now and it was a success. Not all grills have the same width. While unversla kits may work for many models, some of them may not be long enough for some grills. Make sure you check compability to your grill width.

I really had a desire for a rotisserie chicken. I haven’t used the grill yet this year so I wanted to start with a bang. This rotisserie installed in about 20 minutes. It has everything needed to install it. I just received it today and in no time at all I'm cooking a juicy bird. Motor is very quiet and has plenty of cord. The rod is sturdy and looks to be chrome coated. It works perfectly.

Well worth the money. Cooked a 5 lb. chicken on it and it came out great. I have an inexpensive gas grill from Home Depot and it fitted and worked. Universal mounting brackets worked on my grill, but I wished the holding bracket (turning mount?) was taller as the counter weight doesn't clear the outside of the grill table so I can't use it. It actually wasn't needed as the spit turned fine without it. I do wish the forks that hold the meat were larger to accommodate bigger pieces of meat better. The meat kept slipping off the forks as the spit rotated so I used pliers to crank down the set screws, and I had to truss the chicken (YouTube has videos that showed me how) to keep it tight to the spit.But all in all the chicken came out great. I have a four burner gas grill. I took out the cooking grates, put a foil lined pan centered on the 2 middle burners to catch the grease, and lit only the outside 2 burners for an indirect cook. Cooked at 325 for 2 hours and came away with a beautiful rotisserie chicken.

Fit my gas grill perfectly, works exactly the way it should.

Love this BBQ rotisserie. Strong, silent motor. One caveat - there is a counter balance which is held in place by the plastic rotisserie handle. This puts quite a bit of pressure on the plastic which I feel will fail quickly. Other reviewers have commented about this. By putting a 3/8" washer (I used stainless steel) between the counter balance arm and the handle, the stress load is equal all the way around. If you don't overtighten the handle this set-up should give you many years of service. Just sayin

First off, the handle is trash. Pretty much any weight or tighten too much and the cheap plastic breaks until all the threads are gone. I just use oven mitts to grab the bar, but the real issue is the weight to balance the rod is held by the handle, so once broken you need to find some other way to hold the weight. The extension can hold, but not very well as tighten spreads the weight holder and it starts to slip. Other than that the rotisserie spins as expected, so not bad, just an absolutely useless handle and bad weight balance system tied into that. Should come with 2 threaded washers to hold the balancing weight.
