Thanks to a few YouTube videos, this installed easily and I was able to get my old laptop up and running. No instructions for the installation came with it.

I somehow broke the plastic part inside the original port and got the no charging error. I didn't think this was going to fix the problem because the plug still fit. Well this part was an exact replacement and as soon as I plugged it in the battery started charging again. The plug fits very snugly in the port which gives extra security against accidental unplugging. Great price, also.

I should have tried changing out the DC cable first, before spending time and money, troubled shooting BIOS settings, diagnostics and buying new battery to only find out, the old cable was the root cause.
