Bought this because I had another one that lasted a decade or so before I lost it in a move (both the crimper and tester). Quality seems the same, so I'm expecting it to last a long time as well.I'd buy it again because... I already did.

This is a great cost effective kit for light weight network wiring duties. It is not as fancy as some other tools I have used, but it is good quality and works well. The kits comes with everything you need included the RJ45 connections and a line tester.Awesome value.

Great set but strippers are worthless. Did not mind since I have several sets of good strippers.

Well I made this purchase because I needed a replacement kit for one that got lost when I moved from Montana to Texas. I needed to do some networking for my family and I grabbed this one, It'll work for the moment but I'm vastly unimpressed with the quality of the entire kit. The sturdiest part of the kit is of course the crimping took but even that isn't something I'd trust to work long term, the ends and boots are very cheaply made and fit the ports on modems and routers poorly, the boots that came with the kit don't fit the end plugs right as they are too small and have to be forced on and even then don't seat in 100%. The cable tester works but be warned Do. not. Handle. It. Roughly. the shell on bot testers looks and feels paper thin and I'd hazard to say if you drop it or bang it somehow (Which we all know happens now and then) It feels like it would easily break from the impact. Not well made at all.TLDR: Will work in a pinch but don't expect anywhere near quality or lasting products and keep in mind they will probably need to be replaced pretty quickly.

This is a cheap, functional product. The functional part is good.However...The main tool has a pair of razor blades inside the grip. The tool either has no safety mechanism or it was broken. As a result, my wife cut her hand when removing the tool from the packaging.Do not buy this product if you don't like getting cut by cheaply made tools.

Other than the cover breaking on the little yellow wire stripper this kit has been exactly what I needed, the fact that a price broke and that there are no instructions really or they are hard to understand if there are any is why it got the rating it did from me. I figured it out eventually and it worked out fine, it crimps the ends well and the tested works but again the instructions were very odd an unclear so not great for novice people but if you have some knowledge of cables and testing equipment even a little than you should be ok with this kit before shelling out for a professional set at more than double the price
