L6-357/38 Speedloader (6 Shot) fits Smith & Wesson 586, 686, 581, & 68,Ruger GP100, and Colt Python, Henry Big Boy Revolver

While I like the speed loaders they don’t work very well with my 686. I think it’s more of a reflection on the gun than it is the speed loaders. As you can see the safety on this particular model is freakin huge and even though I was able to reload the weapon it was definitely in doubt. With the size of this safety I don’t know if there’s a speed loader on the market that would load this thing comfortably. I like the fact that it seems more substantial than other loaders.

Just ordered and bought a new colt python in nov2024 w wood grip. A little close but it stills works despite everything saying they wont

The description says that it does not work with Colt Pythons with Wood Grips. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I have a Colt Python Talo Edition .357 with walnut grips. It is close on the wood grips, but it does work nicely. I don't see any problems with this speed loader with Colt wood grips. This unit is extremely light weight, functional and has ease of use. I recommend it for range usage mostly. It's functionally is not designed for combat or law enforcement quickness, but it is still a very nice product. You can't go wrong for the price! I will buy more.

These speed loaders are beautifully machined and work great. I will be purchasing several others in the future.

I've bought a couple speedloaders that said they work for the new version of the colt python and they rubbed against the wood grips. 5 star speedloader fits like a glove and doesn't touch the grips. I really didn't like the idea of sanding down the grips and just wanted to find a speedloader that fit and I have to say that this is worth every penny. I'll definitely pick up a few more now that I know it's a perfect fit.
