Our nine year old says it is just as great as the first game, but with even more characters!
Our (then) eight year old son got the first game for Christmas. His birthday was in April, and as he loved the first game so much, we thought we'd get him the second, despite a few mixed reviews on here. Summary: we're incredibly glad that we did.He was delighted when he saw what it was (he didn't know that there was a second game, always a bonus!), and now that he is several hours into the game the reality has entirely matched with his expectation. He loves the gameplay, loves the range of levels, and particularly loves the incredible range of new characters he can play as. I think that Rocket Raccoon is the current favourite, but there are many great additions.I have asked him and he loves it every bit as much as the first one. I have played both with him and I'd say that the gameplay is equally good across the two, and the second game still throws in plenty of humour to make me chuckle while I'm button bashing. We own a few Lego games (we have four kids) and this one sits very happily among them. The kids switch between Star Wars, Harry Potter and this with equal enthusiasm. Highly recommended for any fan of the Lego games.

Very good fun game but annoying vertical split screen
This is a good fun game that has a long story and lots of characters. There are just two things that let it down for me: the camera angle is occasionally bad and it’s hard to see which way you’re going, only sometimes. But the thing that really bugs me is the split screen when in multiplayer is fixed as split vertically, the first one had a kind of dynamic split screen so all characters stayed on the same screen and it split when one wondered away, this game, however, has no option to change, just fixed as a vertical split constantly. Still very playable though and still a good game.

Pink bricks formally red
If your a Lego game fan you won’t be disappointed. I have played almost all Lego games. They are all very similar I’m the format with the plot. However in this game it’s slightly different, previous once completing a level you then unlock the area for that level. It does this but to obtain the pink bricks (not red this time) you need to complete further tasks to gain entry to the pink brick areas. I found this a good idea. Parental controls can be granted if required. The shoot me ups as always against other Lego characters but no gore/blood etc. The graphics are bright and clear. I have also found this game isn’t as buggy as previous games crashing etc so far it’s been a smooth run.

Not as good as previous Lego Marvel games as they've tried to cram too much in
I love the Lego games, and I mean I LOVE them, so was slightly disappointed with this one as they try to cram in a load of new ideas and functions, most of which are OK, but some are just clunky - add in that the initial story isn't as easy to continue as the previous Lego Marvel Superheroes, or even Lego Marvel AvengersAdd in that it seems like they've tried to cram in every possible character that they can, far more than any of their other games, which seems more like a "because we can" than having a need for it - finding the character you want gets annoying as you have to slog through the lines and lines of possible characters

Great game, would recommend
Got this as a gift for my girlfriend and she loves it.I often play it with her (it's our gaming thing) and the only issue I have is the few glitches in the game that can stop level progress (Required items not appearing, doors not opening etc...) but, with the amount going on in each level, this doesn't surprise me and reminds me of the glitch in the first Lego Harry Potter that happened when you kill one of the teachers (yes, I was a nightmare in that game) and it stops you getting the 100%Overall, I think I liked the first one more but, this is far better than the Lego Avengers game!
