too small for older blender
This isn't the right size for my older model blender. My blender was a wedding present and I've been married over 16 years, so go figure!Anyhow, if you look at my attached photos, my old, darker seal is visibly wider. I actually think the older seal is thicker as well. So, since this replacement gasket is smaller, once installed it causes leaks. If you try to carefully center this gasket so that it will evenly fill in the space between glass and base it doesn't matter bec it still gets shifted over to one side when you turn either the base or the glass to tighten it.Thank goodness I saved all the extra pieces (and finally remembered where I stashed them) when my first glass bowl fell and broke and I had to buy a replacement. Otherwise I'm afraid my old and trusty super awesome blender would have to get replaced!

Meh...better than having to buy a new one
This is an acceptable replacement but is not without issues. The gasket is about 3/16" smaller than the old one and does not have the ridges running around the diameter. I think this must be what kept the old one from leaking. With this one, care must be taken to get the gasket absolutely centered (since it has some additional play) and the jar needs to be tightened down extra-tight to keep it from leaking.

AMAZON AND A GASKET SAVED MY BLENDER
My blender was leaking and I had thrown it in the trash. After much thought, I decided to check it and discovered the gasket was worn. As usual, I logged online, searched Amazon, and saw one that looked the same as mine. I wasn't sure I was puchasing the right size, but since the price was so reasonable I had little to lose. It is a perfect fit. Amazon saved my blender.

Does what it's supposed to
My wife had a 'mishap' with out Cuisinart Blender and during cleaning lost the gasket, I ordered one of these as a replacement. It fit perfectly and doesn't leak, that's about as exciting as a gasket can get!

Don't buy this product
The replacement gasket's diameter is smaller than the blade unit. It will leak when using the blender.

WARNING: Make sure you're purchasing this for a REGULAR cuisinart blender
BUYER BEWARE: This gasket is NOT for the compact mini cuisinart blender... must be for the regular sized one. It's too small and too wide. I shouldn't have just one clicked with the "people usually buy these together." Hopefully the cutting assembly comes with a gasket. Otherwise, I'm sure it's a great product.

PERFECT FIT for my 1971 Penncrest Blender!!
I love the 1971 Penncrest blender...the container is a clear (now yellowed a bit) plastic, so never breaks. Instead of buttons there is a dial that allows you to adjust the speed. This blender has been a trooper, but after 40 years (used maybe a couple dozen times per year) the gasket was getting pretty feeble. I would have hated to have to buy a whole new blender for want of a gasket. At Ace Hardward I picked up a packet of Oster Blender gaskets, which fit, but are a bit thinner than what was actually needed. This Cuisinart Blender gasket fits perfectly! Size is 2-3/4" outside, 1-7/8 inside. Nice and thick, also.
