This 'could' have been a cool tackle box. I wanted it to be... lol... I liked the design at first with the combo of old style/new style convergence. However the manufacturing designed for assembly rather than durability is very very poor. If you look at the picture and see the blue verticle bars that enable the shelfs to slide up/down/back... they just snap into the base. For easy assembly at the factory I assume. However this is an epic flaw. Because as soon as you load the trays with some tackle... the weight of that will cause those bars to pull out of the base. Repeatedly eventually they'll break completely. I would stay far away from this one if you plan to use it for tackle. I got the plano 1374 3700 size tackle box instead. It was able to hold all the gear I had put in this one plus room for some more. Its solid and no design weak points that I can see yet. That one is much better, and way cheaper than this one was. I returned this one.

A great idea, but very flimsy and prone to falling over unless opened perfectly (when the lid gets flipped over to open, the handle dangles down. If you don't check to make sure this didn't happen, have fun picking up your gear, because you will). Also note that other 3700 series storage boxes DO NOT interchange with this tackle box.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas. My brother bought him a similar one, but he kept this one! Why? Because of the drawers! They are cases that you can use as stand alone cases. They also work great as the drawers. There is little places for everything you need to carry including the top of the case. Be aware- it is heavier than I expected. But it feels like a nice quality case.
