Good quality but expensive
Whilst the Roxon multitool is an excellent piece of kit, the option of fitting different blades is extremely useful. Also, different Stanley blades can be fitted to the BA08 cutting tool making the multitool even more variable.

Great multi-tool, but works best with the Phantom folder...
First off, this is a review of the Phantasy multi-tool, as I have already left a review of the Phantom folder, but now I have all the available blades, so this will be like a review of the whole system, including the blades the tools, and any modifications that I have done/will do to either them.I will start with the bad points of the Phantasy multi-tool first...1 - Why oh why do not either the Phantasy or Phantom come with the plastic bade holders?, all fine and dandy until you want to use the 'cutting blade' ,then you will find you have nowhere to store the blade that came with it!. Remember, these blades do sharpen up, so the last thing I need is a loose razor sharp Tanto blade falling around in my bag!.2 - Why doesn't the awl have a hole in for sewing?, no problem if you have a drill press, but I would rather not have to!.3 - Chisel...Why? I have no need for it, so will be grinding into large flat bladed screwdriver.4 - Costs a good bit to get the whole system.....I got the Phantom for £15 and the Phantasy for £40 on a Lightning deal, bargain!, but Roxon have decided to sell some of the blades in packs of three, so weather you need them or not, you have to buy blades you might not want.....Not good. Sell them all separately Roxon!.5 - The design....How can I put this, its a bit strange!, on the side you open the tools up, Roxon thought it a good idea to off set the saw blade gap, to the knife gap, which isn't a game changer, but WHY?!.The good bits....1 - The scissors !.....Wow!, by far, without a doubt, the best scissors on any multi-tool I have ever owned they are more like medical shears, meaning they cut like a good'un!. Super sharp, hold their edge, cardboard to cotton they cut it all!.2 - Pliers....Although other reviewers have complained about the pliers, not clamping at the end, and another where if the cutting blade was in, the pliers didnt clamp, I have not had this issue, yes, when the cutting blade is in it does touch the opposite handle slightly, but it still clamps down enough to hold a silver Rizzla paper. Not to mention the replaceable jaws, they were also the first pair of pliers Ive ever had to cut cotton thread cleanly, so all good!.3 - The multi blade option for me is a game changer, I am always needing decent scissors, decent pliers, and to have the cutting blade option is probably the one attachment I will use the most on the Phantasy, even though, when hooked up to the Phantom folder it is the ultimate craft knife!.4 - Build quality.... Its good!, in fact, its excellent, although both the Phantom needed very minor fettling to be perfect, overall, the workmanship is very good.5 - Quality of the steel.....Not talking about the replaceable blades, but the other tools like the awl and screwdriver, can opener, chisel, all seem to hold an edge, unlike my Gerber Suspension, so full marks there too.6 - One handed operation.......Even though I'm right handed, I can open all the tools and blades with my left hand too, after a good coating of silicon spray grease that is!.7 - The interchangeable blades.....What a game changer, the possibility of a truly personalised multi-tool! ,but if you have the Phantom folder, that opens up even more options. The Blades.....First off, the cutting blade is a Stanley knife/craft knife blade HOLDER, so pick your own brand of blade, and judge it from there, not by the free blades that come with it!.All the other blades came somewhere between really sharp and fairly sharp, some Morakaniv/Opinel/Victorinox sharp, others not so, but nothing a quick strop, or at the worst, the steel, to get all blades razor sharp. Depending on what blade you need the most, for example, the curved blade and the cutting blade work fantastically in the Phantom folder, you can feel how well its designed for both blades straight away, the Phantasy multi-tool seems to prefer the Sheepsfoot blade, but its all about weight, and control in the hand, but like everything, YMMV!,All in all, this Roxon system is a great system!, but with just a couple of flaws that may put off some......1 - You really need both the Phantasy and the Phantom to get the full usefulness of the system.2 - Why are Roxon selling the extra blades in packets of 3?. I want all available blades, but what if I only wanted the cutting blade?, I would have to buy the other two unwanted blades, stop taking liberty's Roxon!.3 - Why dont Roxon throw in a fibre and steel washer for the Phantom belt clip removal mod?4 - Where are the plastic sheaths for the blades that come with the tools/knives?5 - Why does the Phantom come with a rubbish little bag, when the Phantasy comes with a proper molle case?.All in all, an excellent, if expensive (for the completist) set of tools, but get it on a deal, and you have a bargain.

Pretty clever
These are very clever and work well. The utility knife with replaceable blades is useful and the hard plastic mini 'sheaths' work well except that the utility knife one is a real fiddle to open.
