Although this heat pad is on the heavy side, I actually find it rather comforting. It fits snugly round my neck and shoulders and offers relieve from neck and shoulder pain. I am currently waiting for an op on my shoulder and have two slip discs in my neck and I feel like I pop pills constantly, I bought this in the hope of reducing the amount of medication I take. Although it doesn't take away the pain, it eases the discomfort considerably and allows for longer periods between medication. I also add lavender oil to the pad making for a more effective treatment. I would recommend as it has given me a relatively good night sleep for the first time in over a year!

I love it, just wish it stayed hot for longer but that's not the fault of the product. It's comfortable to wear and the weight of it keeps it in place and pressed nicely against the muscles you are trying to ease.
