What material is this? Product title says cotton, product description says polyester/acrylic.

The tag inside says 40% polyester, 60% cotton. I can say that these beanies wear very well, they are comfortable and warm. The interior lining is smoothe and wicking. Hope this helps.

Why does this say cotton if it's acrylic and polyester

I’m assuming it’s an error. The tag on the product says 65% acrylic and 35% wool. It if super comfy though

Does anyone know if we really have to wash this by hand? couldn't i just put it in a garment bag and wash on the gentle cycle?

I have washed mine in the washer In a garment bag, and tumble dry low. It came out fine
