Non stick black coating on aluminum bowl and inner lid is some kind of plastic and silicone gourmet insert.

Is the long grain menu option for long grain white rice only? (what about long grain brown rice?)

As of yet I have never tried out the long grain brown rice. I’m sorry I cannot help you out with this question. I mainly use it for white and jasmine rice.

What is the minimum rice I can cook?

According to the manual, the minimum for plain white rice is 1 cup for the 5.5-cup rice cooker and 2 cups for the 10-cup version.
