Vintage Toni Morrison Box Set: The Bluest Eye, Song of Solomon, Beloved

I purchased this collection after watching "The pieces I am" a documentary on Miss.Toni Morrison. I was in complete awe of her and felt shame that I watched the movie Beloved but never read the novel, or any of her novels at that point.I started reading the Bluest eye, followed by Song of Solomon, lastly Beloved. Her literature is rather powerful evoking all emotions, which I loved because you are going to feel something weather good, moderate or bad. If one is sensitive read it slow, this literature is deep, descriptive and sometimes disturbing. Magnificent writing despite the sobering journeys one visits.

Toni Morrison wrote from a black peoples view, which is much different from the prominent white person’s. She told some of her people’s truth.

Wasn’t sure what to think of the Bluest Eye, it was kind of all over the place, not sure if I liked it or not. I loved Song of Solomon! Haven’t read Beloved yet. Toni Morrison Was an excellent author, really gifted with the written word!
