First, I did not buy this for a gun site. I got it because I needed a low power laser for setting up prototype optical systems. At 532 nm 5mw is easily visible during the daylight, and dazzling bright at night. For optical experiments it is the perfect amount of power, for a gun site it is bright and visible on shaded areas during the day. Remember approximately 3mw of sunlight enters your eye as diffuse radiation. 5mw is nearly nearly double that, and it is coherent radiation. We do not look at the sun because our pupil magnifies the optical density on our pupil approximately 100,000x. Needless to say, the laser is dangerous to your eye\s if viewed directly. Quality The quality of the machining and anodizing of the aluminum is exceptional. To buy similar machined optical parts would cost hundreds from optical companies. I'd go so far as to say it's aerospace quality. The laser has extremely low divergence and a very round gaussian beam. I was not expecting this from a $20- consumer laser product. The X and Y adjustments are very precise and offer notched indexing that keeps the adjustment firmly in place. What I really like is that it can be switched on without a momentary switch as found on laser pointers, and this product is less expensive then so called -high end laser pointers. If one wishes to have a momentary switch it includes a coiled cable with a remote switch, presumably so a marksman can easily turn it on or off in whichever position they prefer on the gun stock. Highly recommended for science experiments and rifle enthusiasts.

Works perfectly but doesn’t keep sight memory

Its just as bright or brighter than the expensive ones. Worth the buy but DONT DROP IT. Gun fell over and busted the inside somehow. Can’t get in there to fix. Dud!!!

Great inexpensive blazer for shooting! Can see the green bean for hundreds of feet, night or day!!

It's obviously well made. Especially useful are the windage and elevation knobs. A plus you might overlook and missing on others is that the scope mount has a little rail for another attachment, and I happened to have a flashlight with the standard size for such, and voila!--night practice on my land is totally doable. Another plus to using the scope mount is making scope zeroing much faster. I haven't done this yet, but with this setup, one could shot from the hip in a hurry. Be careful of course, but I expect that will be fun. For new-ish shooters like me, this pertains to any rifle laser attachment: read or view a couple of YouTubes about the simple but essential geometry in the pros and cons of different placements (top, bottom, side) and whether to zero to the scope's optical lines or else leave the laser dot parallel. (You'll see what I mean). BTW, it seems all products on the web, especially on Amazon, get a certain percentage of negative reviews from competitors and, well, stupid-Os. The 3 and 4 star, verified, multi-sentence reviews are usually the best, though of course check out both extremes.

Very bright and It fits nice and snug on my nexus pro. I realize it’s overkill on a nerf gun but it does improve accuracy and looks cool while it’s doin it. Looks like a lightsaber at night! Only complaint is that the Velcro for attaching the cord was bad and came off immediately. Overall, great product.

Easy to install

Really impressed with this lazer sight, very powerful easy to sight in robust solid build, great addition to one’s kit/setup.

Honestly I didn’t expect much when buying for 40$ but honestly I’m pleastly blown away !! The product has solid weight to it and feels sturdy and it comes with two mounting brackets and battery included and has separate backing for button attachment ! The laser is so bright I shone it out the window about 600 feet away and the laser showed up like it was 2 feet in front of me. The adjustments also actually work very well and are clearly labelled and are extremely user friendly when trying to zero it in ! Honestly for $40 buy this if you’re looking for quality for a good price !!

Laser and mount seem to be of good quality. Have yet to shoot rifle with it attached. The velcro would not stick to gun or switch. I did clean all surfaces with alcohol prior to mounting.

I was skeptical, but this laser does not disappoint. Initially was not going to use the momentary switch, but in certain conditions, this thing is so bright, a dead giveaway. Love the auxiliary switch. Good solid mounting.

Secures nice and solid to the rail but was a little difficult to sight it in, it works as intended and what you would expect from a $40 laser sight.
