Factory cut was a little off... so I had to work around it, but otherwise this was easy to install.TIPS:1. the decal is oversized (to fit any laptop), so you just put it on top of the laptop and press along the sides to get a mark of where the laptop edges are... then flip the decal over and cut along that crease... there are grid marks on the back to help you cut a straight line. If you have a paper cutter or fabric cutter, that would ensure a straighter line... I just used a sharp pair of scissors and took my time. Go slow, one errant cut will screw up your decal.2. Trip the decal so that it is slightly less (1/16") than the laptop - you don't want any overhang because over time that will fray and/or cause the decal to pull away from the laptop. You should have a very slim margin of gray all the way around. Check the decal several times and trim off any excess areas.3. When applying the decal, peel off the corner a bit and crease it so that you have a handle to easily pull the backing off the decal. THEN line up your decal on your laptop the way you want it... tape down the left side (top, bottom and side) ... I used leftover decal to tape it down.. you just want it to stay in place and not move on the left side while you adhere the right side (otherwise the decal will be slightly crooked because its nearly impossible to line it up perfectly free-hand).4. Now peel off the backing on the right side until about halfway to 3/4 of the way, cut off the backing with scissors (to get it out of the way) and lay down the adhesive side of the decal on your laptop from left-to-right... press it flat and smooth out the edges. Press from left-to-right (you've already secured the left side, so it won't move). Go slowly and make sure you're pressing the adhesive flat (if you have bubbles, pull up on the decal to get rid of the air pocket - otherwise the decal won't reach the right side properly... you'll have a few air bubbles, you can smooth those out later... easier than putting on a screen protector).5. Now untape the left side (be careful... don't cut the decal with your fingernails as you pull up the tape)... now pull up the left side, remove the remaining backing and lay down the adhesive side from right-to-left. Smooth it out and you're done.It's a large decal, so it's not as easy as laying down a screen protector... but the steps above will make it easy.The decal really looks great on my laptop - SO MUCH BETTER than the ugly/boring factory gray.I really love this decal - it's got a nice feel to it and sticks nicely. I'm exceedingly pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it for anyone with a boring laptop cover.

I'm very pleased with the vibrant floral decal I received. Applying it to my 14" laptop was easier than I expected. It came in 3 pieces, 1 large for the cover and 2 small squares for the keyboard. All of the pieces have a grid pattern on the back to aid with fitting, so I didn't have to draw any lines on it to follow while cutting it to size. After applying the decals to my laptop I used a boxcutter to cut off the access along the edges and the sides were perfectly smooth. I was able to use the leftover strips of decal to line the sides & top of my keyboard as well, cutting holes for buttons, latch closure, and indicator lights where necessary.

I did have to take some measurement of my lap top bc it is smaller than the actual adhesive so I did have to cut some of the edges off so it fit my laptop perfectly. But it looks so cool and it also comes with 2 smaller versions of the same image which are meant to be put on the inside of a laptop (like the picture I took). I love this design so much is gorgeous. And the adhesion is so strong I honestly don’t know about removing it but when I was putting it on I did have to stick it down and then peel it back up a few times in order to get it on my laptop completely smooth without any bumps or wrinkles and it still stuck down just fine when I finally did get it perfect if that helps at all.

Initially bought it to put over my laptop but I really didn’t like my “RED” microwave so I put it over my microwave instead..... I tend to get creative when I have a glass of alcohol. I’m still debating if I like that design over my microwave BUT it definitely looks better than the red ugly color it came with........ Anyways, I still need to buy another one to go over my laptop.

I was afraid that this would feel cheap and cringe-worthy to put a sticker on my new laptop but I wanted to protect it from scratches. The quality of this decal is actually impressive and it adhered with no bubbles. Cutting it to the perfect shape was tedious but worth the time. I'm surprised how much it has grown on me - each time I see my laptop it makes me happy that it matches my decor just right. I will be putting decals on all my future laptops now.

Yippee—I can tell which is mine now! As the library/media tech who issues laptops to students at my elementary school—it’s very important to know which one is mine ;) This stylish skin does the trick nicely and will not create a sticky mess later! (I assume it will come off as described anyway—it feels more substantial than just a sticker.) Win/win.

A good way to add a feminine touch to a plain black laptop. I traced the outline of my laptop on the backing side then cut. I chose to use the extra panels that were provided for the inside hand rest area, but you don't have to. I had to cut one of them to the proper size. I finished up the look with a pink keyboard cover. And a blush colored wireless mouse. (Dell Vostro Notebook 3500, 15.6")

This product is easy to apply and helps protect your laptop from minor scratches. This is the 2nd time I have ordered it. (My first is still on my original laptop after 2+ years, but I got a second laptop and loved it so much, I ordered this again.) It also helps distinguish my laptop from others in my organization. (If I leave it somewhere where my colleagues leave theirs, we all know which one is mine without opening or comparing serial #s.) It’s also very easy to remove if necessary.

requires cutting to size which was problematic to get exact.Quality seems good, but Ive noticed its peeling easily.
