I've been using an old cool whip container for my compost for years and figured it was time to upgrade to something a bit bigger and made for this purpose. It's a little bigger than I expected but that's on me for not noticing the dimensions. The filter works wonderfully because there is no smell whatsoever until you lift the lid. It's also so nice to not have to dump the compost after every meal prep. We've let it sit in the container for up to a week and no smell, and it dumps easily and just rinses out. Very nice

I actually purchased this for our bedrooms - got three. Our township allows composting of facial tissue but I didn't want to have an ugly recycling separator in our bedrooms. This solved the problem beautifully. Non-compostables go in the regular garbage and compostables go into this stylish bin!
