I have been using a thicker more rigid line, which tends to break off where it exits the strimmer head if you do not remember to let more line out more often. This line being thinner is more flexible and doesn't seem to suffer that way. You may have to advance the line a bit more frequently but that is a small price to pay to avoid frequent stops to reload the line back into the head.

It's fine and good for its intended purpose.

Please do not buy the version that comes pre-spooled onto an EGO spool as it is much more expensive and you get a fraction of the amount as string. It is extremely easy to learn to load your own string onto your existing spool. The gauge is 2.4 mm so it is pretty durable for typical usage in the back yard. 50 meters will last years.

Should have bought this line when I bought the line trimmer, it is strong and doesn't break, trimming is now a joy not a challenge.

Tried another brand (Oregon) same diameter on EGO trimmer and did not last half as long, I believe the Oregon is to stiff.
