Forever The Happy Ever After Playlist

I absolutely adored this book! Abby Jimenez just has this incredible gift when it comes to writing—her dialogue is so clever, her humor feels effortless, and she knows exactly how to balance heart and depth with laugh-out-loud moments. Every time I pick up one of her books, I’m reminded why she’s becoming one of my favorite authors, and The Happy Ever After Playlist just sealed it even more. From the very beginning, I felt pulled right into the story. The pacing is smooth, the banter is genuinely witty (not forced or cringey like so many rom-coms try to be), and the chemistry between the characters jumps off the page. I found myself grinning like an idiot at some scenes and then unexpectedly emotional in others—Abby is so good at tapping into real feelings without making it heavy or melodramatic. What I love most is how clever she is. The humor, the timing, the little details… you can tell how intentional she is with every line she writes. The characters feel layered and real, and the relationship development didn’t feel rushed or flat. I rooted for them. And of course, the dog storyline added that extra charm that just made everything sweeter. I also love how Abby always weaves something meaningful underneath the romance—whether it’s healing, resilience, or learning to open yourself back up again. She never writes “just a romance.” Her books always have a deeper emotional pulse, and I genuinely learn or take away something each time. Abby’s writing is consistently excellent. Overall, this book felt warm, funny, heartfelt, and just beautifully written. Abby Jimenez continues to impress me with how gifted she is. The Happy Ever After Playlist is one of those stories that stays with you in the best way. I’m so happy I read it.

J’ai été porté par ce livre, je l’ai lu en 2 jours, toute l’histoire est si romantique et on arrive à imaginer les personnages et leur voix ce qui est formidable pour mon cas, un vrai petit plaisir à lire!

Uma delícia de ler!!! Ainda melhor que friendzone

The Friend Zone has easily been one of my absolute favorite reads of this year. So when I found out there was another book coming out, I freaked out... just a little. This book was absolutely wonderful!!! Abby Jimenez continues to write beautiful stories that suck me in immediately and make me sad to put it down for even a short amount of time. Her giftedness for writing characters that are so intensely relatable will never fail to astonish me. Sloan already had my heart from The Friend Zone and Jason grabbed my heart immediately. Sloan has been mourning for 2 years and you can see and truly feel the toll it’s taken on her. Underneath the depression though, lies a fun, spirited, energetic, and loving woman. Jason... where to begin. His patience and sincerity was insanely attractive. Not to mention he’s just hot. So there’s that. But his heart and intentions and just WHO he was, was amazing. I fell in love instantly with his flirtyness. Because... it was impossible not to. This story was so fun and lighthearted, yet breached such heartbreaking emotions that you couldn’t help but feel the same pain these characters were feeling. It was also so fun to see Kristen and Josh again! Love and miss reading about them so this was just perfect. Everything was beautiful to read and I can’t wait for the rest of Abby’s fans to read another absolutely wonderful book! P.S. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend and suggest reading The Friend Zone first!!! It will absolutely enhance the reading experience!
