Q: Does it cut straight? I've seen a bunch of reviews stating it wont actually cut straight.

Mine cuts straight. But I did test it out as soon as I got it to make sure. I've owned another smaller paper cutter for years and I will say that it's easy to make a mistake and to line up part of the paper and not notice that the other side isn't pushed up tightly against the top...for example. Then your paper won't be cut straight. This has happened to me a number of times. Just make sure you check to see if both the top of the paper is pushed up against the upper part of the cutter as well as the sides being lined up along the measurement line. Sometimes I think people are trying so hard to line up the side of their paper that they forget about the top and vice versa. Just a word of caution from experience. With that said, I'm sure there can be manufacturing defects from time to time so just test it out right when you get it to make sure. I bought two and both work great.

Q: Does this cut the full length of standard paper whether it's one or three?

This is a great cutter. It is large enough to accommodate a standard 8.5x11 paper. It can handle several sheets at a time..I think up to eight.

Q: What changes or upgrades were made to the product last week to justify the price going up from 25 dollars to 36 dollars costing you the sale?

I bought it specifically because it was cheap and I liked the one we used at the school. I bought it for my office use and price was a very big consideration since I do no use it often. So sorry the price has risen - Amazon likes to do that :(
