Bodum Assam Tea Press with Stainless Steel Filter, 34-Ounce

I received the item fast but it seems to be a prototype (which is even mentioned somewhere on the teapot or maybe not original, I wouldn’t mind as the price for a Bodum Teapress was very good but the filter rim is plastic instead of rubber and it was impossible for me to remove the lid ( I needed male help ) and also I couldn’t put it back. I have had 3 previous Bodum Teapresses and the lid is supposed to be rubber and all worked perfectly well. So I returned the item

This tea press is a great way to brew loose tea and is large enough to share a cup with a friend or enjoy a refill. Just a quick rinse for cleanup.

I'm actually on my second of this teapot. I had the first for eleven years and would still use it, but the Florida humidity got to the gasket at the top of the infuser, and started corroding it. Oh, well, the hazards of living in Florida! I got my money's worth, so bought a second.It's a beautiful pot, for one thing. I like being able to see the color of the tea through the glass while it's brewing. I also like glass infusers, but every time I buy teaware with a glass infuser, someone breaks the infuser. So I gave up on that long ago. And truly, this stainless steel infuser does a far better job of keeping tea debris out of your tea.The one thing I personally can live without is the press. It works, of course, but I don't care to press my tea.The entire pot is quite easy to clean. Just hand wash. This never goes in the dishwasher. Eventually, some stain will build up, but you can dispatch that by pouring water and vinegar into the pot and letting the pieces soak till the vinegar dissolves the stain.Unlike a metal pot, you can't pour hot water in and then immediately pour cold water in, nor plunge it into cold water. It cools in just a few minutes. Just a word of caution.I make tea by the pitcher. If you're looking for a good-size vessel, this is definitely the teapot you want. It's not expensive, will last a long time with minimal care, and it looks good. I recommend it and give it two wings up.

We have been using a Bodum teapot for about 10 years. We used it, washed it in the dishwasher and used it again and again. Finally one day the handle fell off. We replaced it with this one, it’s a good pourer. A good size. Easy to clean. The main improvements on the older design are a stainless steel strainer that will not stain like the old plastic one and it also fits the teapot with a rubber seal.We bought this teapot from the Amazon Warehouse Deals and so it was about $5 cheaper. The teapot was perfect, new. Only the box was a little ripped.

Diese Kanne ist eine Katastrophe. Ging über den Vorgängermodellen hat sie ein viel schmaleren Handgriff, des weiteren muss man beim Tee ein gießen sehr aufpassen dass sie nicht leidet. Das war bei der alten Kannen wesentlich besser von der gleichen Firma. Dieses Produkt kann ich keinem weiter empfehlen. Bei einem Preis von >40 Euro kann man ein ausgereiftes Produkt erwarten. Das ist unsere 3 Kanne inn11 Jahren von dieser Firma, die Vorgängermodelle waren super.
