I have always been a fan of Thomas Kinkade. I have his music boxes, globes, paintings, postcards, prints, limited edition prints and lots more. With this little book I called it Twinkle, Twinkle Little Book as it is a little book but twinkles delightfully with the way Thomas Kinkade adds light in the pictures...He is in fact known as the painter of light. This book is great to prepare for Christmas each day and each day has a different picture. Each picture tells a story in its own right and is enhanced by the words that are quite moving and beautiful and even thought provoking. Oh and one thing Thomas Kinkade is famous for is that in every picture he does there are hidden letter N's. it could be on a gift, or a wall, a lamppost, a bauble on the tree ... well endless possibilities, there is usually more than one...I think it is usually about three to six N's depending on the pictures and it is great fun to look for them and you can share that with any young children you have, or grandchildren, etc, that come to visit as they love trying to help you find the N's as well. A small book packed full of delights and special moments. I also like to meditate using the pictures and find comfort looking at them and warmth like been wrapped in a warm, soft cape, an escape from the harsh world of reality and commercialism if only for a few moments. I have bought over fifteen copies of this book in the past. Nine I gave away as presents which were greatly received and used. Others were my personal copy but then a friend, or two, pops round for a cuppa and a natter sees the book, looks at the pictures, reads some of the words, then asks where to buy it from, so I tell them to keep it. Last year I gave a copy each to two friends who are minsters in different churches in different parts of the country and they put the book in a glass box in the church porch and each day a page was turned so anyone visiting, or attending a service, or a meeting in the church could read it. I also gave one away to the hospital chapel and they do the same, allowing patients, staff and visitors to read it. A small book that will delight you and help make Christmas Twinkle.
