3/8 IN. DOVETAIL FRONT SIGHT

I got the .530 sight thinking it would be much taller than the factory brass bead but it was almost the same. That being said, I decided to stick with the fiber optic because it's more visible. Because of the barrel band I had to significantly reshape the front of the site so it would clear. This is my first time fitting a front sight and I found two different approaches online and decided to just go with the filing of the angled edge rather than filing the bottom surface. I'm wondering how it would have turned out if I took the other approach. It fit the dovetail after significant filing, but it sticks up above the barrel leaving a gap between the top of the barrel and the bottom overhang of the sight. It looks wrong in the pictures I've attached but in person it's not too bad. I'm pretty sure this is designed for a ramped dovetail sight, not a barrel cut dovetail, but it seems to work with modification.

Fit was just a little off but was able to make it work with a little persuasion.

Get the .450 height. Remove the old sight by pushing left to right. Install the new sight by pushing right to left. Center the new sight by feel, using your fingernail to align the sight’s edges with the ramp’s edges. They will align perfectly when the sight is installed perfectly. The best tool is Williams Front Sight Pusher. It makes perfect installation a ten minute job.

Nice bright fiber optic unit, don't get the smallest height if you plan on using the stock Ruger rear sight.

Steel body as advertised, quality fiber optic. I chose green. File work will be required on the dovetail to fit. It's height is measured from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the optic, I ordered mine too small by accident but worked out just fine anyway...

We had an older muzzle loader laying around that had a broken front site, this fit perfectly. I would recommend measuring the dove tail a few times to make sure you order the correct one.

HOLY COW! This thing is bright in the sunlight! I installed it along with a Williams peep sight on my Henry Big Boy. Shows up very well in the house. Next morning, I took it out on the porch in the sunlight and looked at it through the peep, and WOW! It looked like a bright LED light sitting on top of my front sight blade. No way to miss this when in the woods, even on a cloudy day.

arrived earlier than i expected ! the height 450 is about 3mm lower than my original iron front (M94 Centennial 66), and the dovetail is a bit wider , a lot of filing, eventually it was there, looks very nice, will bring it to the range to make the adjustment, my adjustable rear sight should be able to compensate the height loss on this fiber front. what can you expect ? seems like there is no alternative when we think about fiber optic sight for level actionback from the range, it shot high, the original iron sight is way too high, i have to buy a rear sight from you.Eventually I gave up, it shot way too high, and there is no way i could source a matching rear sight to zero in..... i want my money back unless you can send me a new one which is 3mm taller

Easy to install, works great!

The product showed up in good condition. The base piece is steel and cleanly made. It was not originally compatible with my Rossi R92 but that's the rifle having an oversize dovetail slot. It is tall enough to correct my line of sight. The light tube was red. It doesn't glow like a beacon as per the retouched photo, but it is easy to see on overcast days.
