Great Goody Bag Favor
I found these to be super cute, good quality, and very reasonably priced puppets. They are a good size for young kids. They were a perfect addition to my child's birthday party goody bags. I put animal crackers, animal stickers, and another treat in a bag and tied the bag closed with a puppet head sticking out of the top. The kids loved picking an animal goody bag on their way out from the party.

Great Quality and Very Good Price!
Buying this item for my daughter's birthday favor. Wanted to see how the quality is before I get more so I started with one set. Received the product today and out of the box I love the material and how it looks. For 8 inch hand puppet this is very well made and my daughter loves it, the fabric material feels good to the touch and you can't beat the price (Right around $1.20 each)The only draw back I see is the fabric material isn't stretchable so it's harder for some people with big hands (See Picture). Overall it's a great product with a very good price. Just placed another two sets on order.

Lots of fun, not the best quality
My 17-month-old daughter was mesmerized by our friend's puppets, so I tried to find some on amazon. I found these. I had them in my cart for 4 days before I purchased, and the price changed twice. I think they change regularly, judging from the different review comments. I paid under [...] for them with free shipping. They arrive in one big plastic bag. The first thing I noticed was there was black fuzz on the animals, something that had come off one or more of the animals. I think it's the black material they use for hair on the horse and zebra. It comes off easily, and in the first 5 minutes, my daughter had pulled some more out. They probably just aren't the most durable. The cloth of the body is pretty thin, but I think it will hold together. There isn't any structure to the body, so it's just a head with some cloth around it unless I'm helping play with them. But they are still fun for her to play with. She says the animals she knows or the sound of the animal she knows (she is SO excited about the horse and grabbed it and kept yelling "NEIGH!"). She is having fun playing with them even though she can't put her hands and fingers inside yet.I have fairly small hands (I'd chose a size small if I was picking a glove). They're kind of a tight fit for my hands, but it's totally doable. Putting all your fingers in the 4 legs of the animal and your middle finger up into the animal's head is tricky, but my daughter doesn't care at this point. It would be easy for a young child to just put their fingers in the top two arms if they wanted to. I wish the hole for the head was bigger so you could manipulate the head easier, but it's still easy to play with.Obviously I can tell what each animal is, but they are very plainly "decorated." The bear is just all tan and has no other detail on it. The cat and the monkey are all one color and just barely distinguishable. I don't know if my daughter would notice what they are (and she knows what a cat is). I'm sure older kids would just learn which animal is which. The zebra, cow, and tiger all have patterned cloth so they are easily identified. If I was doing it again, I would pay the same amount for fewer puppets if they were better quality. My neighbor's puppets are better quality and would fit bigger hands, and I would pay [...] for her 6 puppets over these. But these are fine for now. It's a fun toy for a small child.

A few details about these great kids puppets.
The goal of this review is to answer a few of the questions and concerns that people have with these puppets.1. I received all 12 puppets, in good condition, one of each animal listed2. These puppets are "glove" type. They have 4 'legs' and there IS a small pocket inside the head for your middle finger. It is a small pocket, and only the top of you finger will go in to control the puppet's movement.3. They are smallish for an adult hand. My average sized hand will fit, but I'm tugging it down frequently. Would not be a problem for kids.4. Yes, the 4 legs can look a bit silly, but there are 2 ways of solving this problem:A) If the children using them are young, they won't care.B) If you are using the puppet as a teaching tool or demonstration, you can chose which legs to use. Just like a glove, you can poke the 'extra' legs to the inside of the body, and viola! You've only got 2 legs. To use the top legs, tuck the bottom legs inside and form your hand like a 3. Your thumb and palm can hang on to the extra legs inside and actually help to keep the glove on. To use the bottom legs, tuck the top legs in and form your hand into a sign-language "I love you" with your thumb, pinky and pointer finger out. I find it easier to extend my pointer and middle fingers together to control the head. Then you get a long-necked puppet - I use this configuration for the giraffe and elephant.5. The fabric is cheap, thin velour. One of mine has a poorly-sewn seam and the fabric comes apart there.6. For the cost ($1.25/each as of 9/1/14) I find this a valuable resource, even if they are not perfect, and require special use.I h ope this review can answer some questions! I'll try to upload photos, too.

2 of the same
After reading all the great reviews, I ordered this for a friends 3 year old for his birthday. Upon receiving the package, I noticed that we go 2 of the same puppets. I got 2 cows and no tiger. Also, the cat was squashed and not that great looking. I tried to reshape him but he is still a funky looking cat. Other than those two issues, they are not that bad for the money. Some of them are actually pretty cute. I ended up using the extra cow to play with my 4 month old and got a ton of laughs out of him.

A great gift that stays interesting
This is one of my favorite gifts to give kids. They are very durable, with no pieces that seem likely to come off. They are a good size, but aren't bulky, so they don't take up lots of space. (Important for families with small homes!) The puppets are safe and entertaining for toddlers, but should stay interesting for several years. My two year old has had these for about a year, and still plays with them all the time. We keep them in a low drawer with small stuffed animals and she takes them out nearly ever day. These would also make great favors for a birthday party.
