Have a similar bird feeder about same size, but its rectangular & wire it hangs from loops about 6 - 8 inches up to hanger. Will this work?

The Aspects shield will sit on the top of the feeder tube itself. The slit in the top is about 3 inches long. If your wires are not farther apart than this, it should work. However, I made the mistake of using it on 'squirrel proof' tube feeders. The weight of the plastic shield on top was enough to push the food portals down away from the perches (like it's supposed to do if a squirrel gets on top). I will use mine on other type of small feeders.
