Saved a lot of money by installing this ourselves. Perfect fit, easy install using a deep socket.Will update again later

This worked well.
I did test with a multimeter and some hot water before installing as I'd read about some being defunct. This did as expected, failed open in very hot water.

Pentair Mastertemp 250 fixed
My Pentair Mastertemp 250 had a service heater light on and never tried to fire when turned on, flipped the lid off of it and looked at the main board and had an HLS light lit up. Few reasons that comes up but the heater should fire then kick off for those (unless the thermostat got stuck in the open position). Since mine was not even firing it seemed like the only thing it could be was the switch. To validate I used a simple piece of 16ga wire and wired between the two spade connectors and it fired right up. That means my switch was shot. Thought about ordering the Pentair replacement switch but it would be a week and a half. This came in less than 2 days and it fixed the issue. The outer bolt (what you put your socket on) is different than the OEM one however the thread size is the same so it works. $15 fix instead of a $3000 replacement. Seems like a good deal to me.

Made my pentair 400 worked again!!
Heater was showing service heater error, it was not heating .....I researched and found that you have to open controler from the back which showed a light that says "hls"...then I looked on the manual diagram and mentioned that the has is a little connector which I found! And basically removed it and put the new one and immediately worked!!! #DYIpower

Didn't work first try
It worked like the bad one it replaced. I put in a jumper wire and the heater worked fine.

Glad I tried this!!
Needed to fix my pentagram propane pool heater. I was nervous that this was not a pentair branded part but the price was solid and it looked identical. Easy to install and fit perfectly!!!
