I have exactly two sports memories with my dad:The first was when I begged him to let me watch football with him so he could teach me the rules. (Lasted about half a play because I had so many questions and he couldn’t here the crowd over me).The second was when Mark McGwire broke the home run record. I knew about it from school and probably the news, but one day my dad called me downstairs and pointed me at the tv “he’s gonna do it! He’s gonna do it!”Even without knowing what was going on I was swept up in the excitement. My dad was happy and I was a part of a moment.The Cardinals will forever be special for that moment with my dad.I d forgotten about it until now. So I’m glad for this book.Also noteworthy is one Cardinal was on Real Housewives of Orange County. This is an excellent interesting book about the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and the city of St. Louis. I liked this book because I learned some interesting facts that I did not know before reading this book. Some of the interesting information that is mentioned in this book includes the following information: The popular soda 7 Up was created in St. Louis. St. Louis University is the oldest University West of the MS River. St. Louis is named after King Louis IX. The St. Louis Cardinals have the second most World Championships in MLB after the New York Yankees. The longest-tenured and most winningest manager in the St. Louis Cardinals history as of the end of the 2019 baseball season is Tony La Russa who was a manager of the Oakland A's in the past. Lou Brock holds the franchise record for the most strikeouts with 1469. Stan Musial has made the most plate appearances in the Cardinals' franchise history with 12,701 plate appearances. I would recommend this book to people who want to learn more about the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
