Moleskine- the book of artists, philosophers and writers. Small and practical, with enough space for your wildest thoughts. Poetry aside, here's my review. I do like the size of the book, it's small enough to slip in my bag, and the elastic loop keeps the pages of the book together in the ebb and flow of detritus that is my bag. The book marker is practical, because I can mark pages wherever I need to. I bought the quadrilled version (the grid like squares on the pages) because I find that they force me to write more legibly. I dig it. There's a small paper pouch to the back where you can put things like receipts or little keepsakes that you tend to gather to you on holiday.My only drawback is that I wish the paper was a bit thicker. I do like to write with fountain pens, but the paper is just thick enough for the ink not to bleed through. Juuuuust about. In addition, I think the binding is starting to shift (ach, when stuff is made in China, I guess). That being said, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I buy one of these every Christmas in the same colour (earth brown) for my lovely son in law. He never used to use the presents I got him till I got him this. I had a little thrill of pride when my daughter showed me how he used it for all manner of blokey stuff (diy lists and diagrams/workings etc.). I myself buy a new lime green one every year. They never get tatty or dog eared just remain looking classy and high quality.Best notebooks to carry around, bar none.

The front, back and spine are good, but the quality of the paper inside is very poor, the elastic is about ok, I use it every day to take notes, once I have finished every page I won't be getting another, quite disappointed with it really.

This is a beautiful little notebook that I've started my mini bullet journal in very successfully. I wanted something I could carry around with me all day and this suits very well without being too small to write decent things in. The dots make it very easy to draw lines and make it your very own unique book and the insert bit at the back is brill for keeping business cards/extra notes for writing up. Thanks!

I would be surprised if anyone who has tried them would not be a fan of the moleskine notebook range. I've been using them for journalling for a while, but particularly like the squared print on this - it's just the right size for my handwriting and helps me keep the journal neat.If you haven't used these notebooks before, seriously - their quality is unbeatable and it just feels like you have a really satisfying object in your hand.
