Amazon Basics Dog Metal Crate Cover, 48-Inch

I bought this because my large puppy whom was a rescue had had poor treatment and previously left in a crate 8 hours a day. So we could never get him into his crate as it was a place of fear and not safety. This helps him feel safe like a den or dog house. He now takes himself in it to sleep as we work with him to feel more secure.

One corner does not have a zipper; you can effectively roll up two sides (the sides that correspond to the two gates of the crate). The "window" side of this is also on the side that can roll up (the door side). So there is not much air flow on the two sides that do not have gates - they neither roll up nor have "windows" available. Otherwise, the product is perfect.

Gave 4 stars because there isn’t access to side door with this cover. If your dog uses side door of crate , it is useless. Also hair clings to cover and doesn’t wipe off easily.

Side flap Velcro fasteners inside the mesh, hence useless as one has to cut the fabric to use it. Other side pocket is stitched upside down, wonder what’s the purpose 🤣🤔

I figured there would be enough air flow to have the door closed so my dog had a nice dark spot to relax and it is a sweat lodge with the door closed.Do not close off the door cause it gets way to hot for the dogs.Not worth the money at all
