The best workhorse knife
I bought one a few years back and have used this for cable work and literally digging in ballast on the railroad. Even with all the abuse still opened better than all my other knives. These are just made well. I am back to buy another as I left mine somewhere, but not sure. If you want a good folder this is my favorite.

The design is one of the best I've seen in a tactical folding knife
I carried this knife every day when I was in the Navy, along with an SOG dive knife and Winchester boot knife occasionally (when doing serious work). The quality of the workmanship and materials is everything you'd expect from CRKT, which is to say, "great" if you don't know what to expect from CRKT. The design is one of the best I've seen in a tactical folding knife. The "Carson flippers" at the base of the blade make for extremely rapid deployment without the need for a spring assist, and they also form a hand guard that will prevent your hand from sliding up onto the blade in heavy use, which is actually very common and dangerous. Believe it or not the best part about this knife is the carry clip. It can be removed with a torx tool (which is supposed to come with the knife but didn't when I bought this one through Amazon), and placed in any one of four positions allowing for point up carry on the left or right side, and point down carry on the left or right. This allows the user to index the knife's carrying position to best reach and deploy it, minimizing response time.Although it does come with a warning that the knife is not to be carried in the point down position inside of a pocket as the knife can deploy accidentally and cause injury. Also in several years of daily carry in the point down position on my belt I did have something bump up against one of the Carson flippers and cause the blade to flip out on me, once. There was no injury as I noticed and secured it quickly.Lastly it has a safety to prevent the blade from closing accidentally when the knife is in use. Given the above warning, it should probably come with a safety lock to prevent the blade from opening unexpectedly. Although I can imagine it would be extremely difficult to design such a safety that doesn't slow down the deployment of the blade in a pinch.

Great Knife
This knife is extremely sharp. Nothing on it is shiny and it is very light. It folds so that you can carry it in your pocket. The blade is not long enough to be troubled by the concealed weapon law. I am a first time knife purchaser and had to have help with opening and closing. I had help from a Marine who was at the tip of the spear into Bagdad. The directions are basically worthless. When you contact the company they will use words you may not know. The sharp tip makes it a Tanto. That means it is a very sharp penetrating blade. The serrated part is obvious. The dull black metal piece is a belt clip. The small red button is a release. The two projections of the side are functional levers to open and close the blade. I have learned to open it with a single flip of the arm and hand and the release. Closing it is the hardest. When it is open, your must get you thumb nail into the handle and move a lever aside and them hold it while you push on the side projection. It will not snap shut on you thumb so you have plenty time to move it away. So far I have only cut a branch off with the serrated part. I carry it in my purse and if I get back to walking the river it will be in my pocket. I have defended myself verbally many times but now I am 69. It makes me stand a little taller and keep my head up. Buy this knife, carry it and learn how to use it. It would be great in any situation auch as camping. It looks like plastic but believe me it is not. The design is to not be flashy. It is worth every penny and I cannot recommend it enough. I am a woman but even a man who collects knives and guns could not figure it out. Don't be shy. Get help with opening and closing. I am in love with this knife.

Super Sharp out of the Box!
This is my everyday carry knife while in my Army uniform or wearing my Mountain Hardware hiking pants. Overall an excellent knife that comes super sharp out of the box and fits comfortably in my hand. The G10 sides are rugged and feel secure in my hand when cutting so I don't feel like the knife is slipping. The sides also shuck away dirt and are easy to clean. The blade is a generous size for everyday carry that gets the job done whether slicing or cutting with the serrated edges. The blade shows wear and tear easily from hard use but it doesn't affect the quality, just the aesthetics. The hand guards at the top and bottom are a bit cumbersome and will not fit comfortably in most pockets. The hand guards are too pronounced to wear with most jeans and I scrape my hand if I put them in my pockets wrong. However, you can use a screw driver to change the location of the clip-on which angles the knife differently in your pocket. Overall, this knife will take over your pocket due to its size. The autolawks system is a little tough to get used to. Right out of the box, it is not smooth and takes some opening and closing to break in. Autolawks also requires a little more finger dexterity on part of the owner to close the blade smoothly. I have tried to use my left hand only to open and close the blade and it is considerably harder with autolawks. On the plus side, the blade feels as good as a fixed one with autolawks and opens super smoothly after breaking it in.Ultimately, this is a no nonsense knife that gets the job done and has the potential to cut someone very easily if used in self-defense. It looks imposing and works nicely to cut anything from cardboard boxes to zip ties to rope and tree branches.

Great knife
The double locking mechanism is awesome the serrations are sick and over all the knife itself is bad ass my only gripe is the un serrated portion of my blade came fairly dull nothing that can't be fixed but it was slightly disappointing other then that it's worth every penny
