I also purchased the laptop version of this product and they both look great. The only point of note (and this is why it receives 4 starts) is that in when using the ipad (in this case a 12.9 pro) the top clamp does not come down far enough to secure the ipad.

The product has a great quality, looks professional and holds an iPhone 8 Plus with Apple original silicone case without any problems. It looks and feels nice, it's stable and I can recommend it for sure.

I've tried various stands for my 12.9" iPad. I use it in portrait mode, and this is the first stand that does it all.Firstly, it's stable. A 12.9" iPad in portrait mode needs a stable and heavy-enough base. This one does it. In addition, with the locking mechanism on the top of the screen, it keeps the iPad safe. You can pick up the stand and walk with it and the iPad will not fall off.Secondly, it can be adjusted to any reasonable height and angle, so that you can make it just right for you. All my previous stands were too low, and the angles of adjustment are either fixed or non-existent.Finally, it's a quality product, well-built, and will last way longer than the iPad.Five stars and a thumbs up as well!

I bought this stand for an iPad Pro 12.9, and it does what it’s advertised to do. The stand is not flimsy and contains enough metal parts to feel substantial and sturdy. The tilting mechanism works well and does not droop. The iMac-inspired design is stylish and looks good alongside other Apple products.That said, while these are mostly nitpicks, some improvements can still be made. The clamping mechanism cannot be locked to prevent iPad from falling off the stand, if iPad is accidentally knocked or pushed hard enough. The range of the height adjustment could’ve been greater, and it would’ve been nice if this stand could support rotation, as well. Finally, while this was specifically designed for the 12.9" iPad, I saw no reason for it not to support a 10" iPad (in landscape mode) with a greater range of the clamp. Perhaps, an adapter could’ve been included.Overall this is a quality product. Though, with its price tag, I do expect a bit more.
