Great hydrating lipstick.
This is a very hydrating lipstick, and it gives a little bit of color. Also, like the clean ingredients.

Love Color Russet
I Love this color Russett. The lipstick does not last long but I feel confident that I am not ingesting chemicals from the product.

Moisturizing Lipstick for kissable lips
I love the way this lipstick goes on smoothly moisturizing your lips with natural ingredients and the color Scarlet Soaked is superb. Because of its lightness it tends to vanish from your lips without you realizing it so you do need to reapply through out the day. I also use it as eye shadow and dab a little on my cheeks. Bottom line, I trust Burt’s Bees and so this is just another one to add to the list

Cute cases; lipstick formulas vary by shade
I was a little hesitant to order this lipstick. Although I generally like Burt's Bee's products and am a fan of all-natural ingredients, when I have tried their lip products in the past (particularly their Lip Shimmers), they have irritated my lips to the point of producing lip sores. Obviously, I have had a reaction to one of the ingredients--possibly peppermint oil? I didn't see that ingredient listed for these new lipsticks, so I was hopeful. The new Burt's Bees lipsticks are packaged in cute square cases with a honeycomb pattern on the outside. A small annoyance is that the lipcolor does not withdraw all the way down into the case, making it easy to nick the the actual lipstick column. I found that one shade I tried, Suede Splash, applied fairly smoothly. On my coloring, however--which is medium-tan due to my Italian background--the lipcolor is hardly noticeable at all. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it does make a good neutral for days when I don't really want to add color. The other shade I sampled was Magenta Rush. As the name implies, this is a bright pink--brighter, in fact, than I would have chosen on my own. This might have been okay, but I found that the color applied more unevenly; I had a lot of trouble getting this one right. (See photos for more.)In terms of the formula, I didn't have any problems with irritation, which was good. However, I did find this lipstick to be quite drying. If I wore it without balm underneath, my lips felt extremely dry within minutes, yet balm of course reduces the wearability of the color--a conundrum! Give this, I might keep Suede Splash as a lipstick to thrown in my purse for when I need something neutral to reapply during the day. In summary, I did like one of the two colors that I tried, but I'm not sure that I would repurchase this lipstick on my own.

Nice
Scarlet Soaked is a great color, goes on smoothly. I use one coat as a lip tint/tinted lip balm. Two coats as a lipstick. The price is great.

Does not moisturize
It doesn't really moisturize but it gives you color.

Read the reviews, it chunks off on the lips
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I liked the color. The reviews turned out to be true for me also. It’s kind of designed like a graft and pieces break off on your lips with little pressure. I was disappointed.
