WORKS GREAT
I'VE BEEN USING A TRANSFER DISK FOR AT LEAST 15 YEARS. I PUT MY FEET ON THE DISK AND MY HUSBAND SPINS ME TO TRANSFER. I LOVE THAT THE VIVE 360 PIVOT DISK SPINS EASILY. OTHER DISKS REQUIRE MUCH MORE EFFORT BY MY HUSBAND TO SPIN THE DISK DUE TO THEIR HIGHER FRICTION. USING THE HIGH FRICTION DISKS FOR YEARS HAS INJURED MY ANKLES AND KNEES. THE VIVE 360 DISK IS MUCH EASIER ON THOSE JOINTS. IN ADDITION, BECAUSE THE VIVE 360 DISK HAS A LARGER DIAMETER THAN OTHERS, IT IS MUCH EASIER FOR MY HUSBAND TO GET HIS FOOT ON THE DISK TO SPIN ME. MY ONLY CONCERN NOW IS HOW DURABLE THE VIVE 360 DISC IS AS I'VE ONLY HAD IT FOR 1 DAY. OTHERS SAY THE VIVE 360 DISK IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT SPINS TOO FAST AND TOO EASILY. I THINK ITS THE OPPOSITE. IT'S LESS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT SPINS EASILY AND BECAUSE OF THE LARGER DIAMETER. ITS A MATTER OF TECHNIQUE AND PRACTICE.

Super twister, I twist back-and-forth to gain a slim trim waste
My wife didn’t like it for what I had intended to be used for, but I love it because I use it as an exercise device. I do twist on it for my waist.

Spins faster than a lazy susan!
My dad has Parkinson's and has trouble pivoting and turning. As soon as you step on this it starts jiggling because it wants to spin. Whether or not you have tremors this disk is NOT stable. Even with me stepping on the side while my dad got on, it just wants to spin and there's no way to adjust the ease of the spin. Used 1 time then tried once with physical therapist who agreed it is NOT safe.

A Lazy Susan for the handicapped!
This is a great product. My wife can only move a few small steps, using a walker while I'm hanging on to steady her. She usually just does a 45 degree pivot to move from a furniture chair or bed to a transit chair, and this helps her to make that pivot. The problem I encounter is that I'm usually beside her (helping her sit) or behind her. This only works safely if the caregiver can be in front of the patient. It works best if there can be two caregivers involved.

helps provide better care
once caregivers get used to these disks they are extremely helpful to both the caregiver and the patient

Spins Too Easily
The disk is large, well made and sturdy. A drawback we found is that compared to others we've used, it spins much too freely. For patients with poor balance or who have difficulty following instructions, we prefer a disk with a little resistance to slow the rotation. I use my foot as a brake but even then, with the large diameter and low friction, it's difficult to maintain adequate control and safety.

REQUIRES TWO PEOPLE
A lot of reviews are nonsense. One person stands on the disc. The second person is doing all the work! The second person needs to be strong enough to hold up the one on the disc, stabilize them, turn them. My mother has partial paralysis and cannot currently walk. We plant both feet on the disc as she sits. Stand her up with our feet on the disc to stabilize and prevent any wobbling or spinning. Holding onto my mother, we control the spinning and when to stop so she can be sitting again. The second person or “spinner” needs to able to fully support the one on the disc or it’s simply not safe.

I bought this item for a friend who looks after his mother on a daily basis, she has just had a hip replacement & this item will be used to help his mother to get out of bed & transfer her to a chair.

It worked for me, but it needs care. I put my good foot on it and, holding on to a frame, was able to transfer from chair to bed, wheelchair or commode.
