Good basic leather cleaner
There are so numerous spray leather cleaner and conditioner out there and I was curious to see how different they are. Here are my findings:1. All 5 spray leather cleaner and conditioner are priced between $7-9 for a 16 FL ounce bottle. This one is actually 16.9 FL OZ and cheaper than some of the other brands, so a good value.2. This one has no particular scent, which I prefer.3. The bottle holds nicely in the hands, it's very ergonomically designed.4. The spray nozzle is the nicest and best (big, sturdy, fine mist) of all the spray bottles I have tried.5. Since this is a cleaner only, you should follow with a leather conditioner (also stated on the back of the bottle), which I find a bit of a hassle. I'm a busy working mom and prefer to use a leather cleaner and conditioner in ONE, such as as the WhooHoo-Clean Leather Conditioner and Cleaner in One. Luxurious Leather Lotion for Your Designer and Fine Leather Goods. Protect Your Leather Investment. 15 FL OZ. Made in USA! .6. Because it's in a spray format, it's good for large leather items such as a sofa, which I used it for. For smaller and more expensive leather goods, I prefer to use the WhooHoo-Clean leather care. If I pay several hundred or thousands of dollars for a leather item, I want to keep it new looking for a long time!In my opinion, any real leather can and will benefit from a good leather care product (with high customer reviews!). Think about it, leather is like skin, it will get dry with time and particularly usage. Just pick one that fits your budget and use it regularly!

Pretty effective cleaner, but it's a process so don't expect immediate/startling results.
I've been using this on some leather furniture to clean up and remove some of the skin oil and sweat stains that the seating area has accumulated over time. It works pretty well, but don't expect a single pass to clean up dirty leather, it's a process. I'm on my 3rd pass on an untreated brown leather desk chair from HumanScale (Freedom chair). The years of sitting on it have left a definite mark in terms of a sweat/water marks on the seating surfaces and the arm rests are a much darker color from the back. So far, after 2 treatments (letting it dry completely between each wash), the leather is looking a lot cleaner, especially on the arm rests. The seat bottom is taking more work, but I suspect that may be due to salt crystals from the sweat. I've been using a clean, Costco, yellow, microfiber cloth that has been washed a few times to remove the lint. It's not abrasive and seems to hold the Lexol pretty well, however I'm not getting much sudsing action either. The Lexol cleaner has not caused any staining and it's not causing any damage to the leather that I can see. I was concerned about the leather stretching or discoloring but that hasn't happened. Make sure you follow the directions on the bottle to avoid damage! It also doesn't have any strong chemical smell, so you can work indoors, around animals and family without any risk, which is good.

Good product - Would recommend using in conjunction with others (see below)
I'm writing this with the benefit of hindsight, but for years I have relied upon Lexol to keep my leather car seats clean, moisturized, and crack free. I've loved it and had a really good experience. However, the one issue I've found is that this doesn't have the power to get out really deep stains or oil (consider the oil from your hands on your steering wheel). However, as a maintenance cleaning for my car, I use this Lexol Cleaner, along with the Lexol Moisturizer every 4-6 weeks, and it's keep my five-year old leather seats looking like new. I took my car in to get it appraised for a trade in recently and the dealer told me that the seats looked like they are 1-2 years old (note the care has 100k miles). My one tip is to use this product in conjunction with Febings Saddle Soap (available on Amazon), and Lexol Moisturizer (after you clean. This trifecta should keep any leather goods looking good for a long time!

GOOD STUFF
when researching quality leather cleaners, the same name kept popping up. LEXOL. i decided to take a chance and i'm so glad i did. this stuff not only does a great job cleaning the leather, it doesn't have an offensive smell and doesn't dry out the leather; before you can apply a conditioner. using this, in combination with a quality conditioner, has left the seats in our vehicles looking brand new!!!

This stuff works
I purchased Lexol Leather pH cleaner spray (this product) as well as their conditioner spray to care for two new pair of Bruno Magli shoes I recently purchased. Lexol recommends that you begin with the cleaner, then follow with the conditioner. I applied the cleaner, wiped and buffed, applied the conditioner, wiped and buffed, and noticed that the shoes had lost their luster. Thus I wrote a negative review about the conditioner (feeling that the cleaner really didn't contribute to the problem, which was evident only after the conditioning.)Today, I came across the cleaner in the back shelf of my garage, and thought it might be useful to remove some white patches from the leather interior of my SUV driver's door. The last time I had teh vehicle detailed (about 1 year ago) the conditioner they used on the leather left some horrible white residue on the inside of the door. Since the whole interior of the car is leather, I had no idea why it only affected this area. Anyway, I followed the package directions and was very pleased to see that the Lexol removed the white patches.Bottom line is that I think this works if you have a noticable stain on your leather. However, using it on leather that doesn't appear stained, as a pre-step to conditioning, seems to serve little purpose.
