It worked as it should, but so do Acer branded ones for a little less $$. Startech IDE to SATA adapters are the choice for Original XBOX upgrades for longevity. Though the ATA cable seems less sensitive to branding, so I assume this is generic to all the others. Though length is important in upgrades.

This does the job great. My ide harddrive is now booting and working faster. The biggest downside of these is the connectors are the wrong way round. Even though it’s the size of the original cable with all the twisting you have to do, starting with wrong way round on the motherboard then wrong way round for the dvd then wrong way round for the harddrive. These just about fit and they aren’t straight in the Xbox and look a big of a mess. You won’t be able to use them to clone a drive with chimp unless you remove the trays.

I purchased this cable for testing, as i have some old IDE hdds that i need to see are working or not. Plugging this in one drive, worked fine. But when you try to take it off to test another drive, the cable falls apart. Badly made rubish!

Bought for OG Xbox hard drive swap these work fine but get longer ones if using for hard drive swap on OG Xbox it will just make your life easier i managed to mod hard drive but would made job 10 times easier with longer length cable.
