Fishing line tangled inside the gear box..
I was so happy to receive the Gomexus LX50 jigging reel. I fitted new fishing braid line and went fishing.First drop of my lure, the line tangled inside the gear box and could not take the line out...That was the end of day of fishing... NOT HAPPY...Came back home and trying to remove the gear box cover, so I can take off line. But the screws holding the cover was damaged and so I couldn't take it off...I can't use it anymore..VERY DISAPPOINTING....

A couple disappointing things. Good inshore reel
Nice little reel. I love the size of it but I have a few concerns about it. The foot is extremely thin and held to the body with 2 welded pins. Also there is no reel seat clamp I feel that if the manufacturer is going to continue to make this reel with a thin skinny foot then there should be a clamp to help secure the reel to the rod. This reel would be excellent for inshore fishing for bluefish, flounder, seabass ect ect, but I would have a hard time trusting in the foot construction hooked up to a big AJ or tuna

Missing piece new from box?
I think mine came missing a piece; otherwise what should be in the open hole?

Disappointed
I purchased this reel. Added 30lb test PE Braid and then went to set the drag. First I tested in the strike position and it measured approx 5lbs, with a spring scale. I put it in the free position and turned the knob clockwise to increase the drag, Needless to say I couldn't set the drag past 7.5 lbs. Even in the Full Positio , line was rolling off at 7.5 lbs. Thinking it may be a defect, I ordered a replacement. The same thing happened with the replacement...

Total Garbage. Stay away
This reel is total junk. 1st use it fell apart and pieces fell overboard. Got a replacement and replacement fell apart in my kitchen while I was spooling the line on it. Stay away. Dosen't deserve 1 star but you have give it a star to review it. Like something you would get in the dollar store.
