Coated in some kind of gunk
These chisels came with a coating of some sort that required soaking in acetone for almost 20 minutes to get off. They immediately need to be sharpened. They take an edge quite easily, which leads me to suspect they won't hold it for very long. I have an older black handled Stanley that I've used for years, and the difference between the old and the new is quite striking (the old being significantly better). Time will tell I guess.

Als Warehouse Deal für ca. 11 Euro wirklich mega gut. Sehr dicke Schäfte, bei Kirschen sind das schon Zimmermannseisen. Stumpf geliefert, aber schnell scharf bekommen. Für die Allerwelts-Werkzeugtasche zum mitnehmen genau das richtige. Schutzkappen halten auch gut. Zuhause gibts ja den großen Satz in der Holzschatulle mit den Kirschen drauf. Die Stanleys sind für unterwegs auf Montage völlig ausreichend.
