Modern Arab Art: Formation of Arab Aesthetics

Great art start from ,,,,,
Peace be upon you. Let's speak frankly. I am a book reader in general and my level of understanding after these tumultuous events in the Middle East is very limited. I am not an intellectual or an artist, but I search and read, for a renewal of visions and a refinement of my Arab self. I am very pleased with the acquisition of rich art books, especially the venerable researcher, Mrs. Nada Shabout. Note that it cancels art in the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf. Although the Bedouin cultural stock extends for thousands of years. Have you not wondered about the inscriptions of the tribes in their tents, their spinning, and the symbols or markings on camels. If the pioneers of Arab art were from Egypt, Iraq, and Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, and I mean Saudi Arabia in particular, with high originality, have a terrible legacy, but there is neglect. The font size in the book is small and we need copies on the Kindle. Yours respect.

The best of them on Modern Arab And Middle Eastern Art
Well put together - quality editorial. As with Eigner's book, written with passion - here the passion is re-inforced with knowledge - a strong and concise knowledge of the subject.A hidden gem - a must for any art scholar or enthusiast whom is looking to learn and understand more.Yes - it is academic - - yes it is accessible. This is not a coffee table book like so many - this is a must.

Excellent!
An outstanding scholarly work on modern Arab art and its relationship to and contrasts with modern Western art and to Islamic art. Not only an academic work but also highly recommended for the general reader with an interest in art.
