coveys complete love and respect for bees
This is the third copy I have bought of this book... One for us, then two for friends. My husband keeps bees and we wanted a way to introduce what they do to our son, The text, whilst very simple, coveys complete love and respect for bees, as is evident from the title. And the illustrations are just beautiful. So beautiful that I want to live on those pages full of wildflowers. I would recommend this book for all nature lovers, all art lovers and all book lovers. Of ALL ages

Disappointing - no mention of honey
I found this book very disappointing - it only tells half the story about bees - mentions nectar in passing and doesn’t mention honey at all. My 3 yr. old grandson has become very interested in bees and we have had many conversations about nectar, polllen, honey bee hives and nests - this was a bit of a damp squib as it really only covers the importance of pollination and even that is not very enlightening.

Beautiful pictures cute concept.
This book is really lovely. The pictures are abstract works of colorful art and the story is a nice introduction to the world’s most loved pollinator. The cutouts aren’t necessary but they are nice and are good learning tools for spacial recognition. I am quite happy with my purchase and recommend this book to others!

Makes reading fun
As always Mrs Teckentrup delivers. I love reading her rhymes to my daughter, they are not just rhymes but beautiful rhythmic poetically written, makes reading with your child so much more fun. Love the last page as it says “For every plant and flower you see, was given life by one small bee”. Illustrations are as always stunning and playful, her illustrations gives me ideas for playful creative on illustrations I do with my daughter. It’s a wonderful adorable little book.

Lovely books
I just love these books. We have bee, moon and tree. They are so colourful and the stories are beautiful. We have the board book versions and they are hard wearing. I would recommend these books to anyone who is interested in nature and wants to pass this on to their child.
