Rothco Gen III Level 3 ECWCS Fleece Jacket - Warm and Comfortable Cold Weather Coat

Perfect fit, feel, warmth, and color. This fleece is good over the blouse and under the jacket for those extra cold night shifts.

Love the shirts. I purchased a couple of them. Use them when I am running in the cold. I start off with them over a t-shirt and they are light enough that I can take them off and carry if I get too hot during my run.

This jacket is very warm and very lightweight. It travels easily and has great pockets. The material is very soft and feels of really great quality. It seems to repel water but we have not gotten it really wet yet. The only downfall is that we had to order 2 because the fit was really loose. My husband normally wears a small but we had to order an XS for him. I would recommend sizing down 1 size. Overall, a really great jacket worth the higher price point.

I work in a cooler / freezer off and on all day durring my shifts so if thats what you do know this can apply directly to you. this coat when i first got it shed a little off and on but thats to be expected from fleece, but after my first wash of this coat ( i put it on delicates ) the coat stopped shedding and didnt have sheding on anything else in the washer. as for tempature i wear a hoodie under it but mostly due to the back of the arms might as well have nothing there due to it lets a breeze come right thru.

Great for chilly days. Rothco hasn't disappointed yet. I bought a medium. (5'10", 155 lbs). Fits plenty big.

I put on a black backpack while wearing the polar fleece and when I took off the backpack the straps had, what looked like, fur stuck to them). I would recommend this to military members and civilians alike! It's a great price for a nice warm fleece that doesn't get all gross after being washed. I had no issues with shedding other than the backpack incident, and that wasn't even that big of a deal for me.

It's not exactly Coyote, but if you're not trying to be in regulation, this will work, but if you must adhered to standards for the OCPs, this might cause some issues for you, hence the reason it got 3 stars. Functionality of the fleece, it's pretty warm to the point it's all I'm wearing typically. Been all over Europe with it already and haven't needed anything more than this. For the average joe who isn't in the military, this would be a 5 star, but if you're military, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I had to find a replacement for my trusty USGI Gen III Level 3 fleece after it had a unfortunate argument with an open flame and was damaged beyond repair. I decided to give this Rothco version a try, and I've been very pleased with it. I've been using it as a secondary mid-layer for hiking in the Pennines and up in Scotland. While I haven't had the chance to test it in truly extreme cold, I have worn it in temperatures down to about 2°C, and it's performed perfectly. It's warm, comfortable, and does exactly what you'd want from a high-loft fleece. It layers well under a shell and over a base layer, doesn't feel bulky, and provides that crucial pocket of warmth. As a replacement for the standard issue fleece, it's a great option and I'm very happy with it.

Feines fellartiges weiches Material - wird von kundigen Frauenhänden sich zuneigend auch als kuschelig beschrieben.. Scheint also auch eine Option für empfindsame Mädels zu sein. Nicht zu verwechseln ist das Gewebe mit dem gröberen Teddyfleece oder stoffartigem Outdoorfleece. Unter meinen "Plastikjacken" ist dies meine Lieblingsjacke. Habe lange gesucht bis ich diese Weichheit, Isolierung, Haltbarkeit endlich bei diesen Hersteller - Rothco - gefunden habe. Bin nicht verwandt, verschwägert, beteiligt. Ist wahrscheinlich in China produziert - aber nach US-Army Standarts. Mit sinnvollen Details wie Aufdoppelung an den Unterarmen und Schultern (Rucksack). Kragen ist ausreichend weit um Ihn auch wirklich bei Kälte und Zug schließen zu können - auch für einen stabileren Hals. Ich trage bei solchen Jacken meist M oder auch mal L. Hier passt mir die S ! gut und ich hab nicht die schmälsten Schultern. Wähle weise - eine Größe kleiner als sonst. Die Army hat noch einen anderen Hersteller der gleichen Jacke - aber der Schnitt hat mir nicht gepasst - habe das in Army-Shops durchprobiert.. Dort habe ich auch diese Jacke in gebraucht angeboten gesehen und in den Händen gehabt. War aber keine Option weil vermutlich ein Unkundiger in der Wäschebetreuungskette falsch gewaschen hat. Denke eine zu hohe Temperatur oder ein zu heftiges Reinigunsmittel - das Material hat sich kratzig angefühlt wie kurze Glasfaserpinsel mit denen man Oxid von Lötstellen kratzt. Also wasche ich meine 3 Jacken - hab'tatsächlich alle 3 Farben in Gebrauch - Lieblingsjacke halt - ganz schonend auf 30 / (40) Grad mit Feinwaschmittel, Wollwaschmittel oder Sonett bio. Das freut die Faser und die Haut des Mannes. Wichtig zu wissen - die Jacke ist nicht nur aussen weich sondern auch innen ! Dort sind die feinen Fell-Härchen zwar etwas kürzer aber genauso weich wodurch tragen auch mit kurzem T-shirt drunter und am Hals unauffällig bis angenehm ist. Der Kragen ist von außen winddicht eingefasst - ideal wenn es kalt und zugig wird. Der RV ist logischerweise auch winddicht gedoppelt. Die Nähte der Klett-Plüsch-Streifen (für Namen/Einheit/militärische Kennung) hatte ich mit Hilfe einer Nagelschere rasch umlaufend aufgetrennt und entfernt. Damit schaut es nicht mehr nach Armee sondern nach Outdoor aus. Die Taschen haben übrigens keine Reissverschlüsse. An den Schulterdoppelungen aus glattem Stoff kommt es bei viel Rucksacktragen zu einem leichten "Pilling" Effekt. Mini kleine Kügelchen die sich aber abzupfen lassen wenn es stören sollte. Merinowolle macht als besser biologisch hergestelltes und abbaubares Material natürlich mehr Sinn für mich .. aber finde da mal was passendes in der Qualität zu dem Preis .. Warum schreibe ich hier so einen langen Lobgesang ? Einfach weil ich jetzt grad Bock darauf habe zu schreiben - und haltbare praktische passende Lieblingskleidung zu finden und zu tragen eine echte Lebensqualität für mich ist. Falls Du bis hierhin gelesen hast - mein Bonus für Dich: Die traditionell stabile FHB Torge Arbeitshose - die mir mit kürzeren Beinen - in den Kurzgrößen - wie für mich maßgeschneidert passt ! Mein Allrounder von Minusgraden bis ca. + 20Grad Celsius. Von Baustelle bis Cafe. Von Winterausflug bis Motorradfahren (Knieprotektoren drüber geschnallt). PS: Ohne Weichspüler waschen - die wird durchs Tragen weich ! An der Handytasche evtl. überstehende Kletthaken abflammen dann kratzen die nicht am Stoff rum..
