The concept of this item is great but the unit itself needs a little work. There's 3 things I was unhappy with.First, I have a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and without a case this clips on no problem. If I have a case on, due to the center "ledge" of this ring it sits too high on the phone and you can see the bottom of the ring in the photo. So I have to remove my case to use this which makes me nervous. Holding an unprotected phone to take photos is not my idea of fun. If the center "ledge" were smaller it would fit fine with a case on.Second, the brightness is not that great. In a dark or dim room, yes it seems extremely bright. When taking photos though, I'm not thrilled by the results. It's more like holding a cheap flashlight to your face. I don't know if it's the LEDs or the plastic filter covering them but it produces an almost soft white color, which I don't like. I prefer a daylight or cool temp color to my photos. I purchased an led ring tent light on clearance for $5 at a local Walmart (it has a center circular opening that I positioned around the camera), used strong foam tape and stuck it to an old case I don't use. Yes due to it's amount of LEDs (which is only 24 compared to the 36 on the Amztech light), purpose and size it does produce a better effect. Yes I would rather carry around this small ring VS the giant one I made, this one just leaves me wanting more. For photos at home I use the one I made. For a night on the town needing a bit more light than your flash this will suffice.Third, when powered on this light makes a high pitched whine. I don't know if all units make this sound or if mine is defective. It actually makes me nervous to use. I don't want the thing to catch fire or blow up while I'm using it. Because of this I don't use it often.If you're looking for great ring light photos then you may want to look else where. If you just need extra light for your flash this works. It's not bad for what it is, just wasn't what I was expecting.

I'm not much of a seflie taker, but when I do take them, the lighting is usually terrible and I'm never happy with how the photo looks. I stumbled upon selfie ringlights and after reading many, many reviews, I decided to buy this one. I haven't used this much, but I'm very happy with it so far. There are three different brightnesses you can choose, and all of them are a natural lighting. If you post a lot of selfies, are into showing off your makeup, or even sell makeup (as in Younique), I highly recommend buying this selfie ringlight!

Being a queen of selfies, I was thrilled to find a light that can help me in the darkness! It's a little larger than I expected, but it does it's job well!I do wish batteries were included, but that's minor. Works well and I'm happy.

This works great with my LG Optimus G Pro android phone and LG Gpad android tablet. It has a high end look and has 3 brightness settings. I tried it out in complete darkness and my photo and video selfies show very well.

It makes a high-pitched noise while on, and having the ring clipped on the phone makes it so you can't see the screen well when you want to take a selfie or if your capture button is on the screen.

This ringlight started out pretty good. I attempted to record a video using my note 5. when i replayed the video i heard a high pitched sound throughout the video. So i turned on the ringlight and the first lighting setting had the high pitched noise. When i originally took it out the packaging, that noise was not present. So i switched to see how the second light setting was and i heard alot of staticky noise.Update 4/10/16- Customer service contacted me and they were amazing. Eventhough the item was defective they were extremely professional and willing to give me the refund without any issues.I do believe with a few tweaks their selfie ring light will be amazing.

Despite the fact that I pried the battery compartment open carefully, it cracked a bit, but the light definitely works. I'll need to play with it more to see if it helps my selfie shots.

Super bright and helps to make your videos and selfies more light. It sometimes slips off the phone - that is my only real complaint, but for the money, its great.
