The 125 Best Brain Teasers of All Time: A Mind-Blowing Challenge of Math, Logic, and Wordplay

First, commenting specifically on the quality of the content. The tall order of "best brain teasers" isn't quite met with this book. There is so, so much repetition. So once you 'crack' one, you've cracked five others, even though they're meant to be progressively harder. Also the vocabulary used isn't modern, so the intended result of making you think is actually just your ignorance to the fact you're not over 50. I was expecting a MUCH larger challenge already half way into the book after about two hours. I kept reading into possible deeper learnings but there weren't any - everything written here is painfully obvious. And I'm no puzzle expert, I specifically bought this book to be challenged and I find it's all too straightforward. The hints are fairly useless. If you do get stumped, and check into the back, you might accidentally see the answer for a later question as you're scrolling - what's the good in that? The answer key should be spread out so that this doesn't happen. I find this book is full of careless mistakes. I also found other possibilities to the questions other than what was mentioned. Also some wording is plain incorrect, especially in the word games where you switch one letter. It's truly annoying to pay money for a book that promises a tough challenge but contains carelessness like that. And finally, the state of the book when it arrived, it had a yellow-brown crust on the cover about the size of a chocolate chip, which was disgusting. I cleaned it off, but there's also a yellowish stain on the bottom end of the book. I don't know what the hell happened. It's just pretty unacceptable to receive a book that has dirt (which could be urine - I don't know!!) on it.

Was one of the best purchases before taking my teens overseas for their first Europe trip. Provided for hours and hours of entertainment and keep the “I wish I had my phone” or “can I have your phone” requests at bay. It even had the adults engaged.
