Batman: Last Knight on Earth

One hell of a chaotic plot!
I’ll start off by saying I loved it.Halfway through I wasn’t sure where it was going because the plot is all over the place at times. But I feel it has an Old Man Logan feel this comic has.Who knows, a series with Wonder Woman maybe? Or other DC characters in this future. This comic doesn’t pull any punches at all, the plot is as chaotic as chaos gets. But in the end it plays out well enough.I don’t want to spoil the story for you so I’m not giving away too much.I think this may appeal to Snyder-Capullo enthusiasts more than anyone. So if you don’t know their names or you’re unfamiliar, check out The New 52 Batman comics! The plot is nonsensical, it’s disjointed and I still loved it.I even got the three original comics on release because I have so much faith in Snyder and Capullo. The book is a basic hardback and dust jacket. The hardback has the jokers head with a yellow background. The pages are alright, better than The Justice League, Hawkman pages we’ve recently had.You got some nice variants in the back too....Yeah that’s it.No notes, no sketches or alternative scenes. My opinion would be get this comic! But if you’re not plush with cash then I’d just wait for it to drop in price. It’s a great story, but I don’t think it’ll go down with the ages.So yeah, a recommend comic indeed. Thanks for reading!(Updated with some pics!)

Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo did it again!
Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo will always be in my heart for their BATMAN run. My mother used to read me BATMAN stories as a child (A publisher here translated both DC and Marvel comics for a period of time during my childhood) and growing up, BATMAN became my role model and number one superhero!I hadn't been reading comics for quite a while as it's somewhat difficult to get them here in Egypt. Thus, it made more sense to get volumes instead of issues. Of course, I had been following BATMAN TV shows, animated films, and live-action films. Then, I started reading the Court of Owls storyline in 2015 and I felt tingles all over my body. The writing, the art, and every single thing brought me lots of happy memories. I began to read the classics electronically and got hardcover editions of books I enjoyed most. BATMAN The Killing Joke was my first ever hardcover comic book to get in my adulthood. I went on to follow the rest of Scott and Greg's run and rebirth. Here I am now, keeping myself up to date with all the new BATMAN issues,I faced many traumas, including getting bullied, molested, and mentally abused. These stories became my Batcave, my Fortress of solitude. Without comics, graphic novels, and video games, I would have committed suicide thinking that there's no way to pick myself up or try again.BATMAN is my heart.Okay, enough with the backstory! The book here is a great addition to their run. Its twists and convoluted story may puzzle some people, but it gives you a glimpse into a dark distant future where things are not what they seem. The Dark Knight must untangle the mysteries of the past to find out what's going on in the world. What happened to Gotham City?Who is the so-called Omega? And many more questions which are answered in a mind-grabbing way!Get ready for a masterpiece!Just like the Court of Owls, Death of the Family, and Endgame.Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo outdid themselves once more!

The Batman ending we desserved
Fantastic book. If you have been folllowing Scott Snyder's work since the new 52 this book is the ultimate climax not only to his work on the character but a fitting end to the batman mythos. It's a crazy story with outlandish ideas and looks at a world that reevaluate's the DC heroes and villains as we know it. Throw in a great mystery plot and great dynamic duo and this book is nothing short of amazing. If you love DC. If you Love Batman and if you love post apocalyptic settings with a fresh coat of paint. This is a no brainer for any fan

Not for me
As others reviewers have pointed out, this story is all over the place, and too surreal. I have really enjoyed the work of these 2 before, especially Capullos amazing art work (in my opinion the finest Batman/Gotham artist). But I just cringed at the story here. The constant swap of dialogue between the 2 main groups of characters, it's a clever little trick the first couple of times, but after a while it becomes tiresome, and just not enjoyable in my opinion. Keep up the amazing art Greg, but I don't believe this story was not fit for your pen.

The perfect conclusion to Snyder’s take on the Batman mythos
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end.. Scott Snyder has revolutionised Batman, and his time with the character has been unforgettable. Last knight on earth is a wonderful conclusion to Snyder’s time with the character, and it’s worth purchasing if you enjoyed his previous works (court of owls, zero year, etc). I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Snyder in the future.. but until then, this book is an absolute must read!!
