The Official Outlander Coloring Book by Diana Gabaldon - Paperback

I was very happy to finally get my hands on this book. I did get to give my opinion on what kind of content I wanted when asked by Diana Gabaldon at her FB page. Apparently I wasn't the only one mentioning herbs, gardens and lush interiors, because there is a lot of it in the book. Most panels are really nice and bigger than I thought they would be. There is also the quote from the book that inspired the scene. The big problem is the binding. I am seriously considering to brake it and just separate the pages. The book would be much better suited to coloring as loose leaves in a binder-cover or (even when it looks cheap) a spiral binding. I attach an example picture were you can see how difficult it would be to color the edge.

I've only gotten into adult coloring books in the past year. This is my fourth and my favourite.Pros:-Good quality paper that I used markers on and it didn't leech through-Engaging drawings that resemble the actors-Variety of detail in pictures, some simplistic and others that are so detailed they take days to fill in.This is likely because multiple artists contributed to the book. Likely for the same reason, there are many types of drawings in the book, plants, jewelry, people...-Pictures were linked to the book with quotes from the novelCons:-It didn't tell the story very well-A few pictures were not very well drawn, such as the one of the mill scene-The pages aren't perforated so it is hard to take pages out which I like to do so that I can give some pages to friendsOverall, I would recommend it to any fan of the series.

Wirklich wunderschöne Bilder. Und auch wenn ich das mit dem Malen eher als "Kinderkram" abgetan habe, bin ich inzwischen doch sehr begeistert davon. Man denkt einfach dabei an gar nichts und freut sich wie ein Schneekönig über jedes Stück eines Bildes, dass man erfolgreich zu einem "lebenden" Szenenbild umgewandelt hat. Sehr schöne Idee und dass es sich um Outlander handelt, darüber freue ich mich noch mehr.

Como fan de la saga en general me ha parecido increíble. Las ilustraciones, el grosos de las hojas y el tamaño son maravillosos y preciosos. Lo volvería a comprar sin dudar.

this is a wonderfull colouring book . i enjoy working on it lots of detail. i reommend steadler triangular colured pencils because they dont break alot when sharpening.
