Social Research Methods

I got this book for my masters degree in Sociology.It is a great reference book to start getting a grip on the different aspects of social research.The book covers the ontological, epistemological, and methodological considerations of research and presents a summary of different quantitative and qualitative methods, such as content analysis, interviewing, ethnography, focus groups, questionnaires and surveys, etc.The book also covers aspects of research design and analysis techniques, namely using the software packages NNivo and IBM SPSS.

A brilliant book for anyone doing University research. Explains everything from complex theory to practical tips for data gathering, in simple, easy to understand language. Well laid out and easy to search.

I am not sure about the book contents yet and this is core txt for a course. This was priced as new and arrived as a damaged used book. I don't have time to return the book from where I am at present so have to keep an expensive used book

Used this book as my main text for a research module on my Masters programme. Was a very useful referrence and starting point for a deeper understanding of research meathods.
