Hella996152151 12 Volt 5 Pin 0-900s Delay On Time Control Unit

This works great as a time delay relay. I used it for my air horns. I didn’t want to activate the air horns immediately when I hit my regular horn, so I programmed this with about a third of a second delay for my quad air horn setup, so I can give a little “beep, beep” from my regular horns before they get an attention getter from my air horns (if needed). Works fantastic for that.

Works like a charm! Bought this relay to start my radiator electric cooling fan about 30 seconds after starting the engine so that there wouldn't be such a big amperage draw off of the battery. Typical Hella quality and made in Germany. Much better than the cheaply made relays from China or wherever that have smaller electrical contacts inside (after taking various relays apart) that can't handle the rated amperage. Just wish these Hella time delay relays didn't cost so much $$$. But then again, if you want a quality well made part and not junk then it'll cost more these days.

Haven't actually gotten around to using it yet, but for the price this thing should come with a sticker to cover the top with once you have calibrated it, making it more weather resistant, and also covering the adjustments so other people don't mess with it.Update : Have it installed now FINALLY! Works great! I am using it as a timer to kill the engine if I loose oil pressure, charge, or the engine, or hydraulic temperature gets too high.

I used this to delay the alarm on my boat. It use to alarm right away. I wired this in and now I get 5 seconds before it yells at me. No issues other than finding the wiring diagram, why not come with one?

and it was broken too. Acted like a regular relay. No delay.

Used this piece to delay torque converter lockup in my 200-r4 transmission to prevent lugging. Works great.
