5520 5 in 1 Tool Holder

As an update to my review from January 2017, (see additional pictures) this pouch is fantastic. after nearly a year of daily, heavy use in a busy steel shop, this pouch has held up wonderfully. the stitching is still as sturdy as ever and nothing has ripped, bent, deformed, or broken. This is by far one of the best purchases I have made. This pouch truly lives up to its name and the quality of its workmanship and construction have yet to disappoint me. In the shop we constantly brush against abrasive edges, are covered in showers of sparks, crawl and lay on rusty and dirty steel and this pouch takes it all like a champ. My every day kit includes a small wire brush, a heavy Estwing chipping hammer, welders pliers, and a wide chisel. All this weight has not taken a toll on this product. the only damage its suffered is cosmetic- which is only to be expected in such an environment. Again, I HIGHLY recommend this holder for anyone in the construction or steel industry. I work as a welder and have gotten tired of having to either use a bucket to keep my essentials close by or having to try and carry all of the tools with me on the pieces I weld. Often times I set tools down on bigger pieces such as beams or girders and lose track of them-wasting valuable time tracking down my tools. This holster is made in USA and is of excellent quality.I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.The leather construction is druable and resistant to sparks and other hazards present in the welding environment that other Holsters, especially synthetic or nylon ones will not stand up to.All my essentials- chipping hammer, MIG pliers, soapstone, wire brush, scraper, cleaning brush, small slag pick, and striker can be carried on this making it easy to keep everything right at my side when I need it.

I purchased the 5520 and 5523 for a lightweight and compact tool belt for general handyman work. This combo holds quite a few tools and allows me to keep a wide array of problem solvers close at hand without being too bulky. A bonus that I did not foresee is that my drivers fit in the hammer loop. So I have ordered a hammer loop to place in the center of my back to use when I am using a drill driver. The quality of these pouches is top notch. Fully loaded with a hammer and drill it’s a bit heavy for the belt I have, so I will upgrade to a 2 or 3 inch belt. But as it is I can wear it for hours and it doesn’t bother me. Very thick, well fastened leather. Made in America! This is an excellent combo for the handyman or homeowner who wants to keep some basic tools at hand when working on projects.

The media could not be loaded.  It’s just what you’d expect. Very high quality, got here fast and on time. You take care of these bags they’ll last you your entire career. If any of the stitching or rivets come out you send it back to occidental and they’ll fix it free. Doesn’t matter if it’s 25 years from now with no receipt. My boss has a pair from the 80’s they put new pockets on it for him and restitched the entire belt and fixed all the rivets. So when you buy this stuff it’s expensive yes but you’re getting it for life. With my belt, hip pads and this pouch im at about $450-$500 into this bag but if I didn’t have it I’d be spending $100Every year or two on the cheap ones. It will pay for itself In the long run and it’s just so comfortable. I think the suspenders may be next.

Good quality and strong. Hammer loop is actually useful. I've yet to find a hammer it wont hold. Doesn't get in your way and looks good while doing it.

Great product

The right combo of storage options in such a compact platform. Perfect for an Ironworker. You get what you paid for! Being someone that has hobby leather-crafted many years: the leather isn’t just some plastic texture ironed suede; it’s dense, good top grain, and rather thick! I pulled the plastic insert out because it really tapers down deep and I wanted a pair of ironworker pliers in that pocket, and they wouldn’t fully seat. A spud wrench fits and extends through nicely in the pocket with the attached beater loop, nicely. The wrench is a bit snug, but forced in, and left overnight stretches and forms the leather just fine.

I have been using this for the past 2-3 months since I got it and it is great! I use this specifically for electrical. I use the loop for hammer and tools with a hook. It can get pretty heavy tho. I'm tempted to start an Occidental collection nowI do have a complaint: I place the wirestripper in the outer slot and putting it back in without looking can be a hit or a miss. The inner plastic slot has either a dyke or pliers in it so it can be cumbersome fumbling around putting the wirestripper away.

Love this thing. It’s the perfect holster for jobs that don’t require a big, full size tool belt (which is “most” jobs). Some leather conditioner will help it break-in and form to the tools you want to use. Be patient. It’s fantastic. Absolutely love it.

Meets description and expectations

I absolutely love this pouch and cannot recommend it highly enough. That is despite me taking a big gulp before paying the premium price for it.However, this will last forever and give me pleasure every working day.The quality is exceptional and it looks gorgeous.I've taken a bunch of pictures for you to browse. For me the added bonus "compartment" is the extra space in the belt loop. It is perfect for my folding stanley knife - extremely secure but easy to remove and replace, and no impact on comfort. Almost as if it was intentionally designed for it.So in mine as per the pics I fit:A screwdriverA pencilAn awlA knifeA folding chiselA tester penA framing hammer.That is a lot of gear considering the compact size.Bear in mind the leather is very stiff when new, it has to be worn in to soften and stretch.For me as a tradesman in the UK a consideration was not looking like a ponce with huge bags hanging off me. Fine in the USA but here people will take the mick. The discreet size and aesthetics are perfect in this regard. all I got were a couple of salivating glances..

Anfangs war ich von dem hohen Preis des Hammerhalters etwas abgeschreckt allerdings muss ich nach dem ich den Hammerhalternun in den Händen halte sagen das dieser berechtigt ist .Dickes Leder stabile Nieten und eine tolle Verarbeitung.Als Dachdecker finde ich es sehr Praktisch die Wichtigsten Werkzeuge immer griffbereit zu Haben.Die große hintere Tasche hatt einen herausnehmbaren Kunststoffeinsatz damit zb Stecheisen das Leder nicht beschädigen kann aber für verschieden Werkzeuge genutzt werden (bei mir je nach Arbeit entweder Stecheisen,Hammertacker,Blechschere,oder kleine Wasserwage)Die kleine mittlere Tasche nutze ich für eine kleine Knipex Pumpenzange ,die beiden verbleibenden Schlaufen sind für Ahle und Schraubenzieher reserviert.Tolles Produkt, leider sind in Deutschland Produkte von Occidental Leather nur schwer zu bekommen.
